Charming cottage with stunning views!!
We recently stayed at this charming cottage booked via VRBO and had an exceptional experience. The views were absolutely stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop for our entire stay. Being so close to the river added an extra layer of tranquility and made our visit even more enjoyable. The cottage itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. Lovely little cottage on a gorgeous stretch of river
We stayed at the cottage over Easter wknd and had an absolutely lovely time. It was chilly outside but so cozy and warm indoors. We got out for a few hikes and played along the river's edge, had a few campfires and enjoyed the supply of boardgames and dvds. We hope to come back again soon. Maybe next time in warmer weather so we can play in the river!

We just got back from the weekend stay at this beautiful cottage. It was very quiet and the place is very secluded so there is a complete privacy. We really liked that there were several places outside where we could sit and relax. In this way, each couple had their own space to sit and enjoy the view. We fished from the dock. The most successful fishing is in the evening, after 5 pm. The place is clean, warm and has everything you wish for.

Lovely cottage with everything you need, and more! Perfect setting for just sitting and listening to the river flow to relax and unwind. Very comfortable and inviting.

Anticipated every possible need

Disappointing
Really wasn't anywhere to relax and read a book outside or limited options to sit in, water (river) was very weedy and we ended up getting what the pharmacists in town called swimmers itch from the river. The cottage is quite dark and set back in trees so limited light wasn't ideal. Overall very mediocre and really limited water activities to take part in with the weedy shallow water.

Wonderful little cottage with everything you could possibly need. Location was perfect! The river location was fun and we highly recommend using the water rings. Communication with the host was excellent and we definitely book again if we were in the area.

Awesome Getaway
Had an amazing time! It was very private and the sound of the river was wonderful. We had beautiful campfires went tubing, fishing, swimming and enjoyed movies and games inside and outdoors. The host was awesome and so helpful. Great little gem!

Beautiful, cozy cottage
Our family if 5 had a fantastic stay. The cottage was well kept, well stocked and had that cozy cottage feel. The property was beautiful and was so quiet and peaceful. The hosts were fantastic, providing us with a great welcome package and always quick to answer any questions we had. Added bonus of being close to 2 towns if you need to grab anything. Overall excellent experience.

Relaxing, quiet, scenic retreat
The property is clean and well stocked for what you need on the inside and outside. Every year I choose a place and go on a solo adventure. Karen and Peter's cottage as well as the area did not disappoint! Karen was extremely helpful with questions prior to my arrival, they leave a super informative packet upon arrival and are readily available for additional questions. It was a great place to relax, write music, grill out, read... all of it. Great hiking spots nearby as well. The property and the trails were postcard worthy. I highly recommend this spot.

A true cottage experience
My family of 5 had a wonderful time at Karen and Peter's lovely cottage. The cottage itself is very well cared for and very homey. We were looking for a true cottage experience--cozy, comfortable and quiet--and this place did not disappoint. The location was stunning, perched on a hill above the river, surrounded by woods and even with the winter trees bare, lots of solitude and privacy. Karen and Peter are great hosts, very responsive and accommodating, and helped make our stay easy and carefree. We would definitely go back. Thank you, Karen and Peter!

Relaxing getaway!
The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful view looking out onto Drag River. The wood stove keep us warm and cozy. Lots of trails close by for hiking too. Great cottage if you’re looking to disconnect and relax.

We weren't impressed with the hair and dust in the beds and fridge. There was loose cheezies left on the top shelf in one of the cupboards. There was no milk jug, juice jug or kettle in the cottage, these are basics.

I'm sorry your stay with us was disappointing. The cottage was thoroughly vacuumed, cleaned and sanitized by myself and my husband before your stay including the fridge, beds etc. This is our family cottage and we take pride in ensuring it is well maintained and clean for our guests. We have gone ahead and ordered the items described above for future guests as we agree that those items would be good to have at our cottage.

We loved our stay on Dragonfly Lane - the river was beautiful and lots of fun to tube down, and the cottage is clean and comfy. A very scenic and peaceful spot close to the town of Minden. Karen and Peter were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. We would definitely come back!

Great family vacation!
Loved our stay. Highlights were bringing the provided tubes down the lane and tubing back to the cottage down the river. Some days the rapids were quite exciting! Also the sun set right on the dock and various seating areas. Beautiful views! Brand new kayak and many other water toys and sports provided. Great fishing too! Caught a fish every time we cast our line. There were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and just enough room. There is a bunkie as described but more of a camping experience out there than the luxuries of a cottage. Also no cell service but wifi worked great! Over all a very peaceful getaway!

Pleasant Stay
We really liked this property. Everything was as advertised and a nice quiet relaxing spot on the river. The one downside to this booking I was surprised by how little was provided. You need to bring all of your own dish towels, hand towels and bedding even including pillows which was a first for us at a rental property. Overall was really nice though and would stay again.

Relaxing, revitalizing getaway
We had a glorious time at this cottage. Even though the weather didn't cooperate for the first part of our stay, it didn't matter. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable, and you can hear the rushing river from its windows. We enjoyed swimming by the dock (not deep, so great for our daughter, who's still learning) and tubing down the river. Also it's proximity to Minden is super convenient. Overall, it was just the perfect getaway into nature, where we could listen to birds and enjoy the water and unwind.

Beautiful location
The cottage was small, cute, and clean, nestled in the trees over the river. Loved hearing the water flowing over the rocks. Swimming by the bridge, and tubing to the cottage was the highlite!

Wonderful retreat
We just left this beautiful cottage with our family of four. It was a fully equipped cottage with everything you need to enjoy a getaway with family or friends. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom which has been recently renovated. Tubing was fun and we enjoyed the picture perfect views from the deck. A lovely place to stay and Is highly recommended.

Super quiet riverside getaway. This property is very easy to get to from main roads/highways. Very clean and lots of cookware and utensils. Wifi has excellent speed. Lots of games, DVD's and water toys for families. Thank you for the much needed break!

Relax by the River
We rent a lot of cottage properties and this one is a real gem. The property itself is lovely. We especially loved the deck surrounded by mature cedars and the sounds of the river. The cottage is outfitted with everything you need and the hosts are lovely. Definitely worth a visit - we’d love to return when it’s warm enough to get in the river!

Getting away from it all to relax
The property was amazing, nested away in the middle of the forest just by the river, where the only thing you could hear is the river running by the property. The house was cozy, with amazing temperature control and great set up for cooking and spending time with family (board games, puzzles, DVDs). Looking forward to booking again in the future, hopefully in the summer to experience a new season (winter / spring was amazing, LOTS of snow).

Nice winter weekend away
Had a fun long weekend away at the cottage. The place was cozy and picturesque in the snow, and Karen was an excellent host, very informative and responsive. One thing to note is that, although it wasn't a problem for 4 people, the bunk room (which contains the bunk beds) was not available in the winter.

Absolute serenity!! Loved it!!
Right from the first day the property owners were so pleasant to deal with and accommodating. I surprised my wife for her birthday and packed up our two small dogs. We spent three nights there and could not of loved it more! We will 100% return in the summer to enjoy the rapids!

Our family had such a wonderful time here! The cottage was clean with all the amenities to make it fun. The gorgeous tranquil scenery was just what we wanted. We were a little nervous about the river at first but when we realized we could swim up and float back to our dock, we loved it. We had a wonderful week on Drag River ! The cottage was just as advertised, cozy and was equipped with all the essentials and a few extras ! (River tubes, sun umbrella for the deck) Great hobby fishing , the River is clean and the rapids were fun! No air conditioning so it got really hot in the evenings as the weather was hot and humid during our stay. We would definitely stay again !

Special Place!
A magical place with lots to see and do in the area. Karen and Peter surprised us with goodies and made it easy to walk in and start enjoying right away. The only thing that would have made it perfect was to have a patio table on the deck outside. Just a really lovely secluded spot that we hope to return to in the future. Thanks again for sharing this gem of a place with us!

Great Cottage on the Drag River
Very well equipped cottage in a private setting. We spent 5 nights here and enjoyed the view from the deck and swimming from the private dock. The cottage has a nice fire pit area where you can enjoy an evening fire. The owner was helpful and responded quickly to our questions. The cottage is pet friendly. A short 15 min drive from Minden. For those that care, there is no cellular phone or data service at the cottage. That being said , highly recommended.
