“Great Shower”
The hotel was clean and very quiet. The staff was very helpful. The shower was incredible! Very good location. I would stay again -
“Very Clean and affordable with spacious room.”
I arrived late at night after a trip to Tunica. The attendant was cordial and got us in our room in a timely manner. The room was larger than we had expected for just a standard room. The room was very clean and the only negative thing I can say was that room service forgot to leave only one towel the first night and they forgot to clean out the fridge from the previous guests. That didnt present a problem for us since we didn't use the fridge. Upon calling the room service they promptly brought more towels. We stayed three nights and were happy with all the overall experience.
“A great place to stay”
A quiet unassuming hotel off the beaten track. Excellent place to stay for fun or business. The rooms are spacious,clean with cozy beds, internet friendly, and plasma/LCD TVs on the wall. My husband stayed a few months ago and had the same excellent experience at the Gen X. I would highly reccomend this hotel. Oh, Great BBQ place up the street.
“Great Experience”
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable bed, in room coffee and nice TV. Very close to downtown if you have a car. Felt safe and the parking lot was surrounded by a gate.
“A really good choice”
It was exactly what I expected, my boyfriend and I booked a room to spent the 4th of July weekend and this was the best option we found. Good price, just 5 minutes from downtown, the neighborhood is all right, very clean and We LOVED the bed. We didn't have the chance to try the breakfast since we woke up always later than 9:30 am but it didn't really matter to us. The only think I didn't get was bottled water, the machine only had a very poor options of sodas, other that we were extremely satisfied.
“Running in Memphis”
Great hotel for the price. Staff very nice, room clean and it was close enough to downtown that I took my morning run out to Mud Island. Close to a trolley if you're in tio public transportation. Very good value. Pretty good breakfast.
“Cant wait to go back”
The trip was wonderful. The check in was no hassle or problem. They did provide great contact numbers and directions to the hotel. They were expecting us to come. The hotel was sooo beautiful, clean, neat, and courteous. I was a little afraid because we had a late check in, but it was all OK. I do plan on staying at this hotel again in the future.
“Quirky, cute and QUIET”
this was a great place to stay, low key, quiet, clean and quirky [i.e., bright orange lobby which I loved]. Good location with or without a car.
“Wonderful Family-Owned Establishment”
Had a wonderful time both in Memphis and staying at the Gen X Inn, it had that wonderful 'family-run' atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoy when staying at a Hotel, I wasn't just a customer, I was welcomed and treated as a friend. Also, great proximity to downtown, a cab downtown is only 8 bucks! 10/10!
“Would definitely stay there again”
I was very impressed by the cleanliness and modern look of this hotel. It was cheaper than Holiday Inn Express, but much nicer than any HI Express I have ever stayed in. Flat screen TV, comfy king size bed, marble countertop, huge shower head and big tub, friendly staff ... just a great place to stay. Highly recommended.
