We have been staying at the Cobblestone for the past ten years and it’s really going downhill. We came last December and our tv didn’t work so we asked for a different room but she assured me none of those TVs worked either. We figured the issue would be fixed by now but it’s not. There isn’t a lot to do there at night so a tv is kind of important. We went to Walmart and bought a laptop so we could watch something. The rooms are also very humid so we also bring a little dehumidifier with us. We do all of this because we love NE Iowa and used to love this hotel with its fabulous lookout but we wish the owners would fix these issues. People shouldn’t have to bring their own tv’s and dehumidifiers.

I purchased a king size and when we got to the room, it was a dbl queen, resulting in a trip back down to the lobby to get everything switched. Very inconvenient. The only concern about the room itself was the drain in the shower must be plugged up and I was standing in 3 inches water my entire shower.

The TVs in the rooms do not work properly with the remotes and the breakfast didn’t even look worth eating.

Always a favorite
We always look forward to staying here as the views are amazing and the rec room was much needed for our large group. The water pressure in the shower is top notch and the staff and amenities are always pleasant. Location is key, we were attending a funeral in Lansing. Always a good time when we are here.

Best kept secret
Outstanding stay! They were able to accommodate our pet at the last minute when our sitter fell through. Friendly staff and impeccably clean. This was second year in a row we booked this Cobblestone for this event and will definitely repeat it again for next year.

This property is close to the winery and next to a Casey’s. Limited parking and noise every hour from the train. If you are a light sleeper then do not stay here. If you are exhausted you may sleep through a few whistle's. There are many box elder bugs and lady bugs on the south side of the property. Some of these bugs do come into your room. The hotel staff will offer to vacuum them up. But they said they will come in again. If you think you can goto the bar next door and socialize it’s closed and not open on weekends. Eat ti goto McGregor or Prairie. The property does not have pool or jacuzzi facilities but has a small workout room on 2nd floor. The main pluses are the close proximity of the winery and the 4th floor has a viewing room that has a small outdoor bridge to the scenic overlook. You can walk to the casino from here. The breakfast has cereal waffles eggs and some days polish tyoe sausage or hand slices. They have biscuits and gravy. 3 different juices

Great Location!
This hotel is in a great location along the river! The rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable mattresses and pillows. The large lounge overlooking the river on the top floor is a great area to gather, eat or do group activities. The best feature is the scenic overlook shelter that is attached to the hotel and is on the bluff overlooking the river! The breakfast was also great!

When called about room asked about rate and king size bed lady stated none available and if the rate online was so much better then “go ahead and use that” room was booked online and a king size bed. The shower is horrible no water pressure. The breakfast was poorly stocked and we went to cafe for breakfast

Checkin was very slow with just one attendant and took 20 minutes. Some people had to wait for room to be cleaned even though they arrived after official checkin time.

Interesting hotel. Shares building with city hall and Marquette Community Center. Covered bridge off 4th floor connects to a historic viewing are overlooking the Mississippi River. Good breakfast.

An unexpected treasure! In a very small town on the Mississippi River, this cobblestone Inn has everything that a middle range hotel should have. It is clean, friendly and well prepared. Don’t miss the meeting room up on the fourth floor. Quite a view.

Very busy hotel. Service is efficient and organized. Was given a handicap room and did not request one. Bathroom had peeling walls from being wet and chair pad in shower that was hard to maneuver when showering. Bed was lumpy and not comfortable. Will stay somewhere else next time.

The parking lot only allows for approximately 10 vehicles. Therefore, we had to park in the street where someone hit our car and left without reporting or leaving a note. The room was nice, but the TV remotes did not work. The staff was friendly, and tried to fix it, to no avail. We ended up having to get out of bed and unplugging the TV.

My husband and I love this hotel. We come visit NE Iowa 2-3 times a year and we always stay here. We stay on the bluff side which dampens the sound of the train. The staff is awesome and they have great decaf coffee.
