Wow. This place was the definition of a flea bag motel. Dirty, everything falling apart. Key would not work. Toilet seat broken, rot and mold in bathroom. And no hot water!

Room is fine for the price. No ice or morning coffee. Someone opened the back of my truck Saturday night and left it open. Fortunately, there was nothing in it.I changed hotels the next day.

A lovely local family owns and operates this hotel - other than the AC unit being a little loud, this place was perfect & I really loved chatting with the owners. Happy to support a new small and locally-owned business!

Old but good for price.
It is a very old hotel, but cleaner than most newer hotels. They do need to upgrade the rooms desperately. The staff was very nice. Quiet area. Felt safe and comfortable. It was a good stay for the price.

Very old with little to no visible maintenance, mould in the bathroom cabinet under the sink, carpet very old and stained, wash cloths stained and had holes an smelled funny. The motel has approximately 50 rooms and there were about 6 vehicles in the entire parking lot and yet they couldn't put us an the main floor.

The staff was friendly and the location was quaint. However, it did not meet fire code as the sprinklers have been removed as has the smoke detector. It's essentially a death trap and legally should not be open for business. Also, there was no hot water.

Disappointed in Plainview, TX
This seems to be a very old motel. The couch in my room had numerous stains. I had a hard time getting hot water because the faucets are backward. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle as they do when they are worn out. There is no phone in the room. I had to call the front desk with my cell about the hot water. They did not answer, and I had to walk to the front desk. I chose this hotel because it has a 7.2 rating. This make me wonder about the rating system. I have stayed at better hotels that had a lower rating.

Cleaner than you'd think
This place was a decent motel straight out of the '90s. Lovely and authentic retro look inside the rooms. The bed is comfortable and the room was pretty clean. It was a lot cleaner then I was expecting from the reviews. All of the bedding and towels were clean and you could tell everything had been cleaned well. Someone in another review said that there were bed bugs and there were definitely NOT bed bugs. It was everything you would want out of a cheap motel in a random little town. I felt safe and comfortable. The shower, mini fridge with freezer, and TV with cable were good. They let me check out late.

The staff there were really nice but the room was nasty. Bed sheets had stains and the carpet too. Dead bugs were all over the bathroom floor. There was no way to lock the door from the inside.

The staff was friendly the place was not great. We took a last minute trip so we booked here. In the photo shown it looks like a nights stay wouldn't be too bad. Upon arrival to the parking area there was a beat up SUV with windows halfway down and someone just oddly sitting in there staring. Upon entering the room it smelled and appeared clean. The blinds (no curtains) were bent giving the feeling of no true privacy. The sofa in the room looked like it needed to be replaced. The bed was HARD like sleeping on the floor. The refrigerator was not working as it should the tv and microwave did work. There was no one else (besides the creepy person outside) when we arrived but later in the evening people got there. Up until about 3 am there was noise, kids running and slamming doors. There were no amenities like a phone to call the front desk or an iron. Next time in the area I would rather just keep driving I didn't sleep anyway.

If you’re booking this hotel, you’re probably doing it for the low cost like I did. I just needed a place to spend the night on my way to Colorado and it was perfect! It’s located downtown and there’s a nice Mexican restaurant you can walk to a block away. I loved that I got to park right in front of my room. It’s an old timey motel so don’t expect something fancy. If you want fancy, go pay $100 a night!

Great little place with an old feel
This was a nice place. Right downtown. The lady at the front desk was super nice. Our room wasn't ready when we got there, so she checked us into another room while we waited, which was nice. Comfortable place, no breakfast, real keys for the doors. It hasn't been updated much so that it has kind of a vintage feel to it, which I liked--outdated wallpaper, old wooden cabinets, a real telephone by the bed. The faucet in our bathroom did drip constantly (but not noisily), one or two outlets didn't work, and one was even partially destroyed, but overall, it was a very good stay.

Warrick Inn Plainview Tx
Needed a hotel to visit my son for family wknd. Everything was booked and overpriced in Lubbock. I chose Warrick Inn for location & 24 hr front desk in case if any issues. Owners are very accommodating and are truly trying to fix this old hotel. It served its purpose for the $ I paid. I wish them the best, quiet town away from all the college students in Lubbock.

The husband and wife that run this property are so kind. They saw that it was just me and my 1 year old and so they made it easy on me and didn’t put me upstairs. They made sure I knew good places to eat and that I had everything we needed. I will never stay anywhere else in Lubbock or Plainview.

Nice motel, convenient for an overnight rest. A little concerned that the door did not have a bolt and no lock? The room itself nice but old and needed updated/ fix. The check in process is easy and fast. The gentleman gave us a big room. At night there were people outside whistling/talking, not quite sure what's going on. Otherwise everything is well.
