The location for Hyde Park is excellent and it is good value with handy parking (that you pay for separately). But it took us ages to check in (nobody on the desk) and we were pretty slow checking out.

My family and I stayed here for a few days. The front door locks at 9 PM, and you have to use a doorbell to the front desk. No one was at the front desk at 9:30 PM when we arrived from the airport. We had to wait for another guest to let us in. Rooms were small. Fairly clean (though tired and wearing), except for the mice. We had two mice running on the floor and climbing the curtains. My toddler and pregnant wife weren’t too thrilled. The front desk didn’t seem to know what to do. I asked for a room change, they gave us the last remaining room which had no AC. It was hotter than normal which made it hard to sleep. We also paid for the breakfast, 15 pounds a person for mediocre food. We should’ve help off and only paid by the day if we wanted instead of paying it all up front like they want at check in. We ended up eating there only 2 days out of the 4.

Once we arrived we were told they didn't have any rooms available. We then had to take a 45 minute taxi ride to their other hotel and stay in a part of the city we were trying to avoid. Staff was rude.

Was given a handicapped room although we didn’t need or ask for one. There was a recurring problem with flushing the toilet. The person who came to fix it said ,”This is a smaller toilet. That’s the problem “. The mattress was incredibly soft.

I reserved a deluxe room paying extra and was given a smaller standard room. I complained to the staff but they insisted that it was a deluxe. I rented a second deluxe room and it was bigger. Never again in this hotel.

Hotel was fine. The room didn’t have many amenities for example: hand soap in the bathroom, cups, kettle. I booked for two people and was only given one bottle of complimentary water which is not what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. I did find that it was quite noisy from other guests coming in and out the corridor. Staff were lovely and the room was clean

We were so excited about this trip and wanted a Hotel that would give us the best experience possible. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Firstly we tried phoning to confirm car parking but no answer once the automated system had gone through the rigmarole of its basics. 6 times I tried to ring to book dinner on the Saturday night, which was very frustrating, and I couldn’t get through. Even more frustrating was when we arrived and mentioned it I was told, “You don’t need to book, you can just walk in!” The room itself was small but clean. Not luxurious but hey ho. The biggest upset came with the cleanliness of the restaurant seating area. Chairs had food bits and sticky patches as if they hadn’t been cleaned for months. The glass displays were thick with dust and also had sticky black bits stuck to the edges. The dirty glass that was supposed to create the illusion of space, actually made us walk up to it to check it wasn’t the style of the decor, we did manage to write please clean me on one of the panels. Asking for a toilet key from reception was like being back at school! The heating was set to 26 degrees….. far too hot and no information on how to turn it down. Coffee and tea facilities were hidden inside one of the cabinets and we had to search for it. The seal from the bathroom to the room doors seal was missing/worn/decayed. Like the Marie Celeste when we arrived. Waited about 10 mins before anyone appeared (I was just about to call the switchboard). When we did check in they took ages to seemingly find us a room and when we got there was not the room type we had booked and paid for. Back to reception - could possibly move us the next day. - offered free breakfast on both mornings of our stay for the inconvenience. Next morning no record of them offering the free breakfast - another battle with reception - stock answer is will have to check with my manager. We did end up with the free breakfast which was actually very good. Never moved rooms as didnt fit in with our plans. Apart from check in, reception and communication issues everything else was ok.

Nice hotel with a good location. Thought room was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint. Nasty patch near bathroom door in need of repair. Good breakfast offer. Pillows seemed very hard too!

We had a noise from the heating systems in our room which were making a teriable noise. At 1pm i couldn't take it anymore and went to reception where they were able to move us, which was brilliant. The room we moved to was really dusy and you had to pay for extra drinking water only being given one bottle for two night ! It was my 40th and when we had drinks in the bar half the drinks menu wasn't available!!

The hotel is very conveniently located to transportation( Big Bus Stop and city bus stop), sightseeing and other amenities. The rooms were comfortable and the front desk checked in very quickly which we appreciated after a long flight.
