“Good for the price and if you need to be local to Heathrow”
This hotel is a good standby for those travelling to heathrow. Hardly luxury but clean and with helpful staff.
“Avoid if at all possible!”
The Rosemount is an old, dated building in an undesirable area. I had to be buzzed into the lobby and that was the first clue.My room was miniscule and the bathroom even smaller. When I sat on the toilet my knees touched the door and my arm had to rest on the sink. Shower was tiny too. No shower soap but something in a packet but I have no idea what it might have been since the language on the packet was Eastern European. Towels were old, stained and torn but they were clean. When I asked about a place for dinner I was directed to the local supermarket where I bought a prepared salad and a cold sandwich. The hotel is located on the corner of a busy intersection near a hospital; thus sirens and traffic noise all night. No AC so the window had to stay open. The bed linens were clean as was the room. The only plus! I chose this hotel as it was listed as convenient to Heathrow. Not! A 20 pound taxi ride that took 30 minutes. I could have easily stayed in a good London hotel for the same money. The interet computer(2pounds for 30 minutes)is located in a dark corner and the keyboard was sticky with who knows what. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and think it should be removed from your list. The web photos are very misleading - the place is like a bunker!.
“only if no where else”
this hotel was like living in bosnia the room was adaquite but the floor i was put on was full of immagrants who did nothing but shout and argue in to the small hours the catering menu looked more like the kids menu from macdonalds and the on sweet was the smallest i have ever come across
“large people stay away”
The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean, but if you are a large person (talll, muscular & fat) you will not be comfortable using the bathroom. The restroom is small and for a larger person you will not fit. The bed (the full size) is a standard spring mattress. This hotel is really close to Heathrow Airport and is easy to spot but put in the entire address (61-63) if you place just 61 you will end up at someone's house and 20 mins away from the hotel. There are some nice restaurants in the area to eat at.
“Not Impressed what so ever”
The room was descent size, but the room smelled like a urinal. Very scary elevator, service was terrible, and far from any tourist attractions. Only good thing, close to the tube, and a good indian food restaurant across the street. Bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen, you could literally take a shower, go to thebathroom, and wash your hands all at the same time.
