We had a comfortable stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Some of the carpets are looking a bit tired and could do with an update

Pub with rooms on an industrial estate. Food quality poor. Rooms just ok. Other chains in the price range are better. Good thing would be unlimited parking for more than one car. Didn't really think about where we were staying (it was for a funeral) but wished we had.

The property is a busy pub/carvery which makes it by definition crowded in the dining areas. The hotel itself is fairly comfortable although in need of some decoration and updating in the bathroom particularly. On the Saturday we were staying there was a function taking place until midnight. If we had known at time of booking we would have probably reconsidered. Reasonable value for money.

My room was amazing, staff great,bed room lock was broken, had to use a safty chain,not good for female traveling alone.food was the only thing that let it down,but it wont stop me going bk.

Booked two adults and 1 child, may sure it was that when I checked in. When we got to the room later that night, there was nowhere for my daughter to sleep, went down to reception to complain and it took over half hour to get it sorted. In the morning I complained to the reception staff they said someone would call about the appalling bed my daughter had to sleep in! Well it wasn’t bed but hard broad! Totally disgusted. Wouldn’t use again

The free Wi-Fi was easy to use and the fact that I had forgotten my credit card and money was no problem (although it might have been had I not travelled with my brothers, sisters-in-law and niece so that I was able to get breakfast and dinner bought for me). Staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable. The only downside was that a car seemed to be essential and I'm epileptic so I can't drive.

Overpriced room
We were visiting family and this has been the worst room we have ever stayed in. The bed looked like a dog or other animals had been in the room and ripped the bed. The curtain was hanging off the window where it was ripped. At breakfast you were having to ask for plates, missing food, and each time having to wait for it to come. Nobody was on reception and you had to ring a bell and wait. Could not upload photos.

While the food was quite reasonable generally the service was poor. We weren’t even told the bad was closing at 21:30. However, the worst thing was the constant extractor fan noise somewhere outside the room that went on all night. We won’t stay there ever again, and would recommend that no one stays there.

Over rated hotel. 1 Star at best
Event going on downstairs with Disco/DJ from 8PM-12AM so loud couldn't sleep! No warning of this when checking in!! Poor quality room and way over rated. Should be a 1 star rating for this hotel. Not impressed

Comfortable hotel
Spent a comfortable one night stay at this hotel while visiting family, the location was very convenient to where they live. The attached restaurant was very convenient for the carvery/evening meal and for breakfast the next morning.

Honest review, good and the bad
Generally a good overnight stay. A clean large room in a good Lincoln location, large venue with plenty of onsite free parking. Friendly check in. Reception looked nice and welcoming and clean. Our room, the Door looked like not shut from the inside but was locked, we tested it. Old looking lamps shades with a modernish ceiling light looked out of place. Threadbare carpet in places in our room. Bathroom needs resealing on the floor/bath. Probably could do with new carpets. Windmill restaurant attached, good selection of food. Staff friendly. Ladies toilets,.. leaking ceiling, a hand dryer out of order, and empty soap dispenser. Food good, but waited long time for Saturday lunch, clearly short of staff. Sunday buffet breakfast was really good, and it was busy. We would return.

Only good thing was staff and food was good, the hole place needs to be cleaned properly hotel and restaurant dust everywhere, toilets not clean in the restaurant the bed was not comfortable we never had these problems last time we stayed here .

The good: situated about six miles from Lincoln we visited for the August Bank Holiday Asylum Steampunk festival - free parking at the hotel, and a ten minute drive from the city. Staff were without exception friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel one evening and no issues with food or prices. The less good: although the hotel is clean, the rooms well equipped & comfortable, be aware that on the whole the hotel is tired and clearly in need of a makeover or facelift - this didn't detract from our stay but at the time of writing (August 2022) it is something prospective guests should be aware of. This aside our only gripe was that our room was above the function room and on Saturday evening we 'enjoyed'(?) an Abba Tribute act & Disco - but the music ended before midnight and guests leaving the function did so quietly - so again nothing too serious. In short basic comfortable accommodation, decent location and reasonable price. Would use the hotel again.

not a good break
if you stay here make sure that they have no functions at the same time as you stay as the bedrooms are on the first floor above the function room the music did not stop till 11.45pm room was very dated some bedside lights did not work also some plug sockets at weekends the main roads that feed the estate was like a race track with cars and noisy exhausts staff were plesant enough the whole facility could do with a revamp and decor improved

Attention to detail
A Necessary point is that I found all the door Plates and some of the glass in the doors was smudged with finger prints etc. In these times of covid I would li9ke to see the access doors toi the hotel and restuarant cleaned more thoroufghly
