“Nice hotel”
The hotel was excellent. Unfortunately, Limerick was not a great town for our trip. We did, however, have a nice trip out to the Limerick University to workout. (My daughter is a collegiate swimmer and water polo player.) And we visited the neolithic site at Lough Gur. The town itself was a bit disappointing.
“Best place I've stayed in for a long time”
Nothing to complain about, from start to finish my stay at The Savoy was everything I had hoped it would be. Only comment is that on a Saturday night there is a little noise from the street outside however, this wasn't enough to make it a bad experience. Excellent service and terrific comfort, i cannot fault this hotel. If I can come back again soon I will (not so easy all the way from Australia) but I will be telling anyone I know who is visiting Ireland to do themselves a favour.
“Very Impressed”
it was a great hotel in the very good location in downtown limerick, I really recommend this hotel
“a credit to the owner”
A truly great place to stay, the staff are a credit to the owner and his management team. Nothing is any problem and all is effortlessly facilitated. Food from the breakfast, brunch and dinner ( ate in Hamptons both nights - unusual for us and again shows the standards of service and food more than exceeded our expectations). Whilst the fabric of the building and meets the 5 star expectations it is the the staff management ( & owner) that truly exceeds this, particular of note is the restaurant manager, Marta Chambermaid floor 5 from Hungary and the tall blond receptionist that stand out. A great place and
“When in Limerick the Savoy is a must”
I would normally choose a hotel nearer the airport when leaving from Shannon but this time I decided to change things up a bit and stay in Limerick. Upon my arrival I used the valet parking which is a must so you don't park across the street and have to lug your baggage. Check in was uneventful, the staff were helpful, room was great and everything was as you would expect in a 5 star rated hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and its only a 20 min. drive to the airport.
“Savoy in Limerick”
A great location and well run, neat hotel. Within easy walking distance of shopping, dining & sites.
“Very modern hotel in rundown Limerick”
We decided to stay (1) night in Limerick due to its proximity to the Shannon airport. The Savoy Hotel was an excellent choice. Although we only spent a few hours here, the hotel staff, common areas and room were very good. There are plenty of options for dinner in Limerick and the hotel staff was very helpful in recommending one and getting us good directions. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable and the rooms were very modern. We were able to park right in front of the hotel for free as we were leaving the next morning.
“Clean and Comfortable”
A nice centrally located hotel. It's a former Marriott property. The only issues I had with my stay were the constant beeping noise from the pedestrian light at the junction below (not the hotel's fault) and the lack of towels in the bathroom (only two and very thin). Otherwise a very comfortable and clean hotel.
