I was attending an event in the city centre so the Gresham Aparthotel was ideally located. Being in the annex it was a bit of a labyrinth finding my way to the room, but I did manage to get back to it after my night out. Although there was still noise in the streets when I got back, I heard nothing in my room, which was clean and well-equipped. I was there for little over 12 hours but would definitely recommend this place for a short break in the city. Although there's no parking, being there from late afternoon Saturday until Sunday morning, I even managed to find free on-street parking nearby, but I imagine that is pretty rare.

Lovely welcome, big comfortable warm room in a fine old building. No fridge, which seemed odd. There was a kitchen area with microwave after all. But that was the only (small) issue. We enjoyed our two nights there very much. The cooked breakfast was really good and we liked the bar on the ground floor. It was the weekend and the bar and restaurant were busy and noisy but soundproofing was good and our room above was quiet. We slept very well. Every member of staff with whom we interacted was helpful and friendly, even first thing in the morning at breakfast or at the apparent end of a long shift. Recommended!

Very nice conversion from an old department store to this trendy aparthotel. I should have realized that, being in the centre of town, it wouldn’t have parking, so budget extra for that. Also being in the centre of town it can be a bit rowdy outside, which might be a problem if you’re a light sleeper. The beds are 2 songs (twins) put together with a sheet on top, which was disappointing. Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

No need for an alarm clock, if not the noise from other people having showers, the pigeons cooing wake you up. I was in the annexe, several floor areas are uneven, not obvious to the eye, I tripped a few times. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Great location. Very clean modern apartment. Friendly check in staff. Lovely bar below. No windows in our apartment which was strange. Doors close quite loudly so a bit noisy when other people are leaving their rooms. Overall very good for visiting city centre. The nearby car park on Newarke Street is expensive- £48 for two days.

This was a spacious and comfortable apartment within an aparthotel. The kitchen area comprised of two hobs and a microwave, as well as a fridge with a small freezer compartment. No chopping board or sharp knives, which wasn't helpful, but everything else was there. I found the wifi too slow. My old phone wouldn't even't connect to it, but my up to date laptop did. I also couldn't work out how to keep the towel rail warm or the heating sufficiently high during the cold snap that I was visiting. But the room was lovely and spacious, well decorated and elegant, with lovely big windows and a quiet location. Housekeeping only comes once every 5 days - didn't bother me, but it might be off-putting for those expecting someone to give them the hotel experience. I had dinner at the Black Iron Social on the ground floor on my last night and wish I had gone before - the food was outstanding and the staff were lovely. The aparthotel will give you details of car parks nearby when you book but of note is the fact that the Newarke Road car park closes at 6pm on a Sunday, If you arrive before that, you'll be fine. Overnight parking from 5pm to 6am is only £2.00, but if leaving at 8.30ish, you'll be charged about £6.00 for overnight parking. Not bad for the centre of Leicester, and less than 3 minutes walk to the Gresham. I'll come back, but will bring a hot water bottle if it's winter - I feel the cold though!

Centrally located in Leicester near nice restaurants and the local stores. Convenient. Well kept hotel which was clean. One material issue is the noise level as there are several bars on/around the hotel and we were kept up into the wee hours (noisy up through 2 a.m.) by people hanging around after the pubs closed.

Comfortable stay
We stayed in an annex room and although there were lots of steps to climb, the room was spacious and everything was comfortable. The kitchen area was a great addition. The bathroom was modern and clean. Some of the sealant needed a good scrub. The bed was comfortable with very soft sheets and duvet. We heard a little outside noise, but as a light sleeper, I actually slept well. Breakfast was good value. We will definitely stay again.

We booked a Deluxe Studio. I am not sure if the room was as stark as it appeared or it that was just because it was unbearably cold. The power for the room, including the heating is controlled by your entry key. Once switched on, it switched off after about an hour. It was 8°C outside and this big room needed a lot of heating to make it bearable. The room was cold when we checked in, it was cold when we came back from dinner, it was cold in the morning when we woke up. Generally an unpleasant experience.

Almost perfect
Fantastic location right in the heart of the city. The room/apartment itself was beautifully furnished with all mod cons. Easy, friendly and quick check in was at the reception in the lovely wine bar underneath. The only thing was, there is no parking, however we parked up in an NCP around a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely use again.

Great hotel - definitely recommend!
Such a great hotel. The team are friendly and attentive. I have stayed on several occasions and love the quirky rooms. Not keen on the ones without windows, and I prefer a wall shower as opposed to rain shower but other than that it’s a great stay.
