Property is very old and outdated which is expected for a motel of this age, however we could hear the people talking through the walls and hear peoples tvs all the traffic on the road etc not much of a night sleep. The Resturant was not open even though it was a Saturday night, therefor we had to drive in and get food. No bowls or plates to use either so quite disappointing overall
I did not like the signage everywhere in the room that indicated how much you would be charged if you dirtied a towel or left blood on the pillow etc - as well as a $400 charge for a key loss. Never seen this level of threat in any motel/hotel worldwide.
Motel was quiet and peaceful. The Wifi worked for only a few minutes! Although my Vodafone coverage was non existent at Korumburra, Leongatha, and all the way down to Wilsons Promontory.
We found this property perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The room was a good size, bed comfortable and everything clean and tidy. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming.
Staff were friendly and was able to park next to my room. However the door leading to the colony wouldn't lock or shut properly. Towels were in poor condition. Walls were paper thin, could here everything in the next room.
Overall was okay apart from shower not being so good and internet nearly non existant.

The room was COLD the heating took ages to warm it up. Very old and basic, needs updating. The window coverings were damaged slats, did not block out light.
It was clean.
Motel ok. Staff atitude to customers is rude and condescending

Response from Coal Creek Motel on Feb 26, 2022
James, if you are being rude and condescending towards staff, then we have an obligation to protect them from abusive behaviour. Hospitality workers deserve as much respect as any other person.
Perfect for a stop. Clean, nice rooms. Quiet. Very easy to find. Supermarket and takeaways options close by.
Very friendly and easy check in, and drop box on exit.
A good stay.
Reasonable, clean, comfortable, staff pleasant.
There was nothing we disliked, however bathroom exhaust fan was not working, this did not cause us a problem, we’re sure it would not take much to fix it. This motel is certainly worth considering.
Quiet and although near a main road, it wasn't noisy. Unfortunate that the restaurant wasn't operating, but that was Covid related.
We stayed for a week, so the lack of utensils was surprising - I think they cater mainly for one or two night stays that won't necessarily need cutlery.
