“Thank you!”
I just want to thank the person who coordinated my stay. She went beyond what we expected in bookiing our stay and I made sure that everyone we know is aware how well your customer service was handled.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The staff were very welcoming. I would definetly recommend this to others and would definetly stay there again.

One of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced was at the Taj Bengal, my husband and I travel the world frequently , but what made our stay so special was the attention to detail at the Taj Bengal our every need was catered to and the friendliness of the staff made us feel very welcomed indeed. . We enjoyed the breakfast buffet immensel, the food and beverage manager at the coffee shop was just amazing so were the other wait staff . We do look forward to returning!
“Nothing beats a Taj”
Everything was perfect. The free included breakfast was top notch with a variety of lavish indian/western cuisines complete with dosas to croissants. The one problem was that the housekeeping was too eager to please and tried to enter the room whenever they felt the guest was not there. They can take it easy a bit in that regard. Still, Taj Bengal stands up completely to the reputation of the Taj brand!
“The BEST hotel I have ever experienced. Would love to go back”
I cannot express how efficient and friendly this hotel was! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were unbelievable. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and the room was magnificent. I have stayed in loads of 5 star hotels and this was by far the most organised and efficient. I have stayed in several Taj group hotels as well and the Taj Bengal provided a service that somehow seemed to top the already amzing standard the entire group provide. As always the team at the Taj bengal took personal pride in the quality of the hotel - but somehow the Calcutta team increased the standard available. I look forward to returning.

“Delightful Hotel - Best Taj in India..!”
I have stayed all over India in many different Taj hotels and the Taj Bengal in Kolkata is by far the best. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and each time I am relaxed, comfortable and well cared for. My room on this occassion was recently refurbished and was comfortable and very clean. My only slight criticism is the shower facilities in the room. Not as grand as some hotels as it is a shower/bath. But apart from that 5*..!!!
“Superb Hotel”
Most Taj hotels always exceed expectations but Taj Begal customer service is superb. They will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable.
“Will not be returning - stay at the Oberoi instead”
The rooms are beautifully furnished, as is the main concourse of the hotel, and the staff are in general helpful and attentive. However, we were appalled at the service at breakfast - for a hotel of this size, the breakfast room just did not have capacity for the number of guests that might want to use it at the same time. On our first morning, despite seeing many tables for four free, the two of us were asked to wait in an adjoining room for a table to become free, and waited there without anyone offering us tea or coffee. We had to return to the main room ourselves, tell the staff we would take any table, and found a table for two without their assistance. While eating, our used plates were not cleared away, despite many staff hovering about. Worst of all, we saw other (caucasian) lone diners and couples being seated immediately at tables for four, which we had assumed was the reason why we were not seated on arrival. I was appalled at the poor service, which we agreed would never have happened at the Oberoi Grand. If you are an NRI, don't expect decent service at breakfast at the Taj Bengal.
