The only thing we were unhappy about was the fact that one day we had two sausages and two rashers with our breakfast,and only one sausage and one rasher the next morning!Most of the staff were lovely

Disappointed by room and food.
Room small as was the bathroom. You can switch on the bathroom light whilst lying on the bed. Sunday lunch, unfortunately lamb was tooooo over cooked, not pink at all. Disappointing experience.

Hi, We are a traditional country pub and therefor the size of our rooms are on the smaller side however we never claim to have big rooms! We never serve pink lamb, it’s slow roasted. Kind regards

Great pub with comfortable rooms and food
Our 3rd time here probably says it all. Great pub evening meal, lovely breakfast. The bedroom was small but functional, comfortable and quiet. Will hooefully visit again on our way further north.

Great stay at The Black Bull
Lovely stay at The Black Bull. Rooms were immaculate, breakfast was fab and staff went over and above to accommodate two hungry guests. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely comfortable room, great food, and friendly service from Chris, Gemma, Connor and all. Beer garden has lovely view over undulating green fields looking towards Kirkby Stephen station. we thoroughly enjoyed our two days at the Bull!

lovely inn with comfy clean rooms in a quiet area and great food, Staff were helpful and gave excellent table service. With regards to covid: sanitiser for use throughout public areas, tables set apart from other tables and staff wearing masks, felt safe. Table service also at breakfast which includes lovely cooked breakfast, would recommend.

Made to feel very welcome, felt valued as a guest, could not fault the hospitality. Food lovely with generous portions. Lovely walks on the doorstep, drying room available should it be needed. This was our second stay, it will be our first choice for accommodation should we return to the area again.

Black bull at Nateby
I and my husband had a very pleasant stay at the Blackbull, in Nateby,great views,great room,comfortable beds and friendly staff!They've got a great beer garden overlooking the hills and there were plnty of choices of walks around there.All in all it was a very good stay.
