"We had a great time at the Island City House Hotel. We enjoyed the room. We liked the outside porch with sitting areas. The hotel was close enough to most areas of Key West that we were able to walk. It was quiet. The only complaint we had was the room had a mild musty smell. Also there is no elevator if you are on one of the upper floors. We would return when we go back to Key West"

If you rented the whole cottage for a family it would be fine, but you can hear everything your suite mates say. "The Speakeasy Inn is in a good location on Duval Street, although it is many blocks from the area around Mallory Square... it is closer to the Southernmost Point buoy and Hemmingway House. The hotel staff was great ( especially Nicole) so checkin was a breeze. The bar staff seemed indifferent and the drinks were good but high-priced, but since you could hang out on the porch and have a front-row seat to Duval St. it was worth it.
