The property was very nice and so clean. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room because we wouldn't be there much on our weekend. The price was great and the room was worth the money. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be staying again!

Pretty nice for the price! Also one of the most hardworking desk attendants I've ever seen. He was always busy cleaning things whether we came down in the morning or at night. Super convenient drive up the freeway to all the places we wanted to go.

I always get a reservation 2-3 months ahead and pay for it on Expedia. I get the insurance for my room. I always put in I’m needing a pet friendly place. I call before I come to confirm my reservation. They said because I didn’t put I had a dog they would charge me $10. more for the room besides the pet fee. I called you……. Expedia and was told no I didn’t have to pay more. Furthermore they said I didn’t need to put it on my card. I could pay the extra in cash. Expedia told me no I didn’t. When I got to the motel, they still tried to charge me extra. When I told him no I didn’t have to pay the extra other than the Pet fee. They said no it’s our policy. You have to pay three dollars more now. I take the initiative to get a reservation three months in advance and I expect not to pay other than the pet fee when I get there. They hassle me every time something. My dog is very well. House does not go on the floor and does not bark. He’s better behaved than many children. I feel I should get something in return for the hassle I get from them every time I come. I very rarely complain, but I’m tired of it. When I pay in advance with insurance to keep my stay my reservation, I expect no hassles when I get there. Apparently that’s asking too much .

They did not stay for online it said they took pets but on arrival they said they do not accept pets. I could not stay with out my dog and the lobby was very dirty as well as the staff.

It was okay. Like the fact the stores were close. The room was okay but the only issues was the sink outside of the shower area was low to were it was hurting my back to bend over that low. Overall it was a decent stay.

This place is right off the highway, rooms are big, clean and comfortable, building is clean. My only complaint was a little bit of maintenance needed in the shower.

Nice modest hotel with elevator and indoor pool and hot tub. Nice that breakfast was offered. Good to have amenities like in-room frig, microwave, safe, and hair dryer. Reasonable rate for the area and amenities. Would definitely stay there again.

The chlorine level was so high in the pool/hot tub, we couldn’t even use it because it was burning our lungs and eyes without even getting in the water.

I really enjoy staying there. I stay at least 5x a year there. The only complaint I have is they’ve gone up on my dogs stay. I started out $10. It is 35 for most dogs and they gave it to me for 25. The problem I have is we are there several times a year. My dog never barks doesn’t have accidents and instead of rewarding me they have raised it. A few years ago a woman ran down the halls drunk yelling I PIST MY PANTS! I PIST MY PANTS!! If my dog went on the floor I’d get in trouble.

There was an unexpected fee of 3 dollars at time of check in. Also a 100 dollar cash deposit was required. It would have been nice for someone to have mentioned that upfront. Plus the hotel needs work. Bathroom door was broken off hinges.

The hotel is right on the highway, and the traffic is really loud. It wasn't too bad after midnight when traffic slowed down, but you will hear cars drive by. The linins and carpet were clean. The area around the bathroom edges were not real clean. The breakfast is free, so that was nice, and they have several choices. I ate the waffle and really enjoyed it. They also had cereal, biscuits, and precooked circle shaped eggs. They had orange juice and coffee that I remember. The guy at the desk was nice. When we ate breakfast he stood in there while we ate. I think he was trying to be helpful, but it made me feel watched. I think it would be better to just walk through occasionally. Overall, the stay was fine. I probably wouldn't stay there for a vacation, but as an overnight stop while traveling I would stay again.

There was breakfast but it was mostly empty and no one refilling it. When we arrived there was no one at the desk. Rang bell several times then saw a phone number to call if no one was at desk.

Couple staying with a dog for a long weekend
First off in case anyone is worried this is in a good area with many businesses and restaurants around. The Staff was wonderful, very nice and friendly not just at check-in but every day saying Hello and asking if we needed anything. We booked a pet room (yes there is a daily pet fee of $35 but they gave us a discount for staying a few nights so that was great!) and we weren’t expecting it to be nice but were pleasantly surprised, it was nice & clean and didn’t smell like pets, bonus had laminate flooring (no carpet) which was probably why ;). The back of the bathroom door was scratched up I’m sure from previous pets being kept in there but we just let them know right away so that our dog didn’t get blamed for it. The refrigerator didn’t work, we didn’t need it so no biggie but we let them know and I’m sure they would have done something about it or moved us if there was an issue. We had a very comfortable stay and will stay again when visiting family in the KC area.

Once I arrived to the property the guy behind the counter told me the only way I could check in (after I made the reservation and paid online) was if I made a $100 CASH ONLY deposit. I asked if I could pay with a card and he told me no. CASH ONLY. I don’t carry cash on me and he told me no cards allowed. I had to find an ATM in the middle of the frigid cold in Kanas City with my 7 year old son just to get my room. I’ll NEVER book with Best Western again. Oh and on top of that, the heat in my room didn’t work properly and couldn’t keep up. It was -9 degrees outside I might add. My son and I had to pull the blankets off the other bed and sleep together just to keep warm. Worst experience with a hotel in my entire life.

The SureStay Plus by Best Western in Blue Springs looks great online, however, when we arrived, we were anything but impressed. The parking lot had about 2” of ice built up which caused us to slip and fall multiple times trying to get from our car to the hotel. Once we entered the hotel, we were told that we would be on the 3rd floor, which is the pet friendly floor, despite us not having any pets. The walk to our room was absolutely disgusting due to the overwhelming odor of kitty litter, and we were disturbed by the noise of a dog barking on multiple occasions. In our room, there was dirt in the bed as well as a broken dresser drawer, and the heater would not turn off the entire time we were there resulting in us having to sleep with the window open in -10* temperatures just to not overheat. Be sure to read the description as well, as the hotel does not include a comforter or anything beyond bed sheets. Had we not been so uncomfortably hot, we would have been extremely cold due to the lack of bedding. Do yourself a favor, and pick a different hotel to stay in.

Not worth the price!
The hotel is run down. There was hair clogging the drain when we took a shower. The beds were uncomfortable. They will add a city tax and charge you for additional guests. Wasn't worth the price.

Great place to stay! We enjoyed our stay. The only negative was i booked specifically because it had an indoor pool and the pool was so freezing cold we couldnt even really swim in it.

I was asked a to pay to be able to check in early. After I was told there was a room available. But I had to pay an early checkin fee. When I said I will just come back in 1.5 hours the price came down. I still declined. I have never been asked to pay to check in early. If a room isn’t available no big deal but this felt not quite right.

The hotel is not in the best location. It’s a decent place to stay for the money. Beds are very comfortable. Shower needs fixing. Over all it’s a decent place to stay at.

We enjoyed our stay here the week of Thanksgiving. The employees were very kind and diligent, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was hot, and the pool area was relaxing. Overall excellent value.

This is a convenient hotel for after a Chiefs game and has reasonable rates. I've stayed there several times. I like staying on the main floor with a king bed but evidently I booked the wrong room and got 2 queens. The ice machine on 3rd floor was out of order so the one one the 2nd floor ran out before I could fill my small bucket. Had to go to the main floor. Not a huge deal but overall it was icing on the cake for a suck day.

I very much liked the staff whether in person or on the phone. They were more than helpful, they were personable. I felt I was staying "in their house" as a welcome guest. Breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were clean and quiet for sleeping. The entire facility felt safe and comfortable. Will be there again when I go to KC

The room was extremely dirty, I got a big red bump on my leg after sleeping in the bed. The doors are super thing and dont fit the door frame properly so you can hear every little sound and there were lots of them. Avoid this place if you can

The staff at SureStay Plus were so kind and professional. They waved our pet fee, had breakfast all set up and ready to go in the morning and even stated they would keep the hot tub open later for us if we wanted. Unfortunately, the hot tub was scummy and dirty, the hotel room was in desperate need of an update/thorough cleaning and the mattresses were wildly uncomfortable and probably need to be replaced. We spent quite a bit of money to stay in a hotel instead of our camper van for a night for a shower and comfortable bed, but probably would have been better off just staying in the van. I feel bad writing this because the staff were so wonderful, but the place itself needs some work.
