Best beach was Racha Yai as part of a day trip. Sunday market and old Phuket town are great for immersing in the culture. Elephant jungle sanctuary is a great experience. Big Buddha and Chalong Temple are both good to visit on a single half day tour.
I enjoyed my entire stay, we got out to one night market and the vendors weren't too pushy, prices were good. Central Patong, Junglaceyon and Central Phuket malls were very nice and quite large. Food courts had everything you could ever want
