We used to stay in manhattan when visiting NY. This stay has converted us. The hotel is really convenient for visiting the city, but in a quieter, cleaner and more pleasant neighbourhood than anywhere in mid town. A short walk (40 yds) to the PATH train gets you to WTC in minutes. Good places to eat really locally to the hotel. Brilliant trip!

Property well located to transport links, shops & restaurants and supermarket. Hotel facilities not up to mark, water stations not working on the floor we were on, never fixed despite reporting this. Room not cleaned on one of the days of stay, had to ask for fresh towels which arrived 30 minutes after making the request.

It was unfortunate that the lady at the front desk was unwelcoming to me when I arrived at night! The expression on her face made me decide not to ask for water. Her explanation of parking was very angry for no apparent reason when I asked her about it

Canopy by Hilton is a great place to stay close to NJ Exchange Place if you plan to visit NYC using the public transport system. Although they don't have parking space, you can park your car right across the street at the Morgan at Provost Square. The price is about $30 per night. Also, you need to walk about 12 mins to reach the Path station. The room price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were great coupled with modern amenities. The service was also great. We had an issue with the heating system, they sent a space heater right away. Although they do not have any studio style room where you may have your kitchen with a microwave. In fact, they don't provide any microwave at all. So, if you just plan to eat outside, this is the place you are looking for.
