What influenced my 3 stars was the lack of customer service. Every time I would go down to the front desk, no one was there or would come out if I had a question. Every time I sent a message to staff, they took forever to respond. My food I ordered from the hotel restaurant was not ready on time, prepared poorly, and didn’t taste good. It was an extremely limited menu to choose from and was late for me to walk to the nearby restaurants. I ended up using DoorDash to eat from while I’m at the hotel. I also did not like my hotel phone could not relay out to the front desk and there was no housekeeping when I indicated to be done every other day during my stay. Every time I would notice something, staff wouldn’t be around to answer my questions.
This is usually my go-to hotel when I’m in the NJ/NYC area because staff made guests feel welcomed. I’ve stayed here multiple times without incident. I’m not sure if the property is experiencing a staff shortage, but it’s affecting customer service enough for me not to come back. If I could get my money back, I would. I know this not a five star hotel, but staff made it feel like a 5-star hotel…not anymore.
