This place is really warn out… I’m sure it was great when they built it in the 90s but now…not so much.
The floors felt like I was going to fall through in places, multiple lights in the suite were burned out when we arrived and another one died while we were there.
They have a serious pest problem, we had significant ant trails by the second night, all over the kitchen counter, which means the colony was established and knew to look there for food already, and we saw like 10 cockroaches!!
They had to move us out of our initial suite because it absolutely REAKED of cigarettes. They did upgrade us to a larger suite as an apology but the fact that the room “got cleaned” and approved for a new customer with that overwhelming smell says a lot.
Oh, also, the free breakfast advertising is misleading. When a free breakfast talks about sausage, eggs, and something for everyone it pretty clearly implies a hot breakfast.
In reality they had a handful of plastic clamshells with prepackaged hard boiled eggs, a tiny frozen sausage biscuit thing, some fruit and a yogurt cup.
The pool was semipermanently closed as well…
The one saving grace about this place is the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful and doing their best with what they had to work with.
