“Great location, good value”

Not half as glamorous as the web-site would have you believe but was great value at the price we paid and brilliant for the T1 tramline across town.

“Great view, great staff, great location”

I booked this room because of it's central location in the old town area and the great view everyone spoke of on the top floor. Neither disappointed. The view is breath taking, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. From Habib at the front desk who planned out our itinerary, to the staff who manned the breakfast each morning, it was a great experience. The location is unbelievable. It's a 5 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. There are two tram stops within a 3 minute walk from the hotel. If you stay for 3 nights or longer, you get a free shuttle from the hotel. I can't go on enough about how great this place was, and highly recommend it.

“Wonderful place to stay.”

This is must do hotel. Location of the boutique hotel is superb; close to many attractions, shopping and restaurants..Breakfast served on the sixth floor has an outstanding view of the Blue Mosque and excellent food; so many dishes to choose from. Rooms with a wonderful view are a little more expensive than regular rooms, but it is all worth to pay the difference. Very romantic atmosphere brings also the furnishing. Massage chairs in the lobby free of charge, free wireless internet and free use of computers are big plus for the hotel. The staff is very friendly and always helpfull. I love this place and will be back.

“Great value”

This hotel was a great value in a outstanding location mere blocks from major attractions and two blocks to the tram. The room was small but adequate and the staff went out of their way to assist and be helpful during every meeting. Wireless internet was free fast and reliable. The daily breakfast offered a wide selection with variations each morning. The view from the breakfast room is outstanding. This hotel is an outstanding value and would be my first choice on another trip to Istanbul.

“Best-value hotel in central Istanbul”

Wonderful location, super-friendly and helpful staff, free airport pick-up, lovely breakfast, free internet access. The only caveat is about room-size; we were originally put in room 105, which frankly was not much more than a single. We requested a room change, which we were given on the next morning (as the hotel was full on our first night), into room 303, which was wonderful. Cannot judge the restaurant for dinner, as it was closed while we were there, but we heard from other guests that it was wonderful. (There are loads of excellent restaurants within 200 yards, so it was no problem.) I have stayed at a couple of other hotels right in the centre of Istanbul, and this one knocks spots off them for value-for-money. Would 100% recommend this to anyone, and would definitely stay again (as long as it wasn't in room 105).

“Great location and wonderful staff”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rast Hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the complimentary breakfast had a wonderful selection plus a terrific staff waiting on you. It was located just a couple of blocks away, (very short walk), from the Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapa Palace, many other historical sites, as well as the grand bazaar. The view from the terrace was fantastic! The staff was very helpful, courteous, and spoke English. They assisted us in booking a river trip having us picked up and dropped back off at the hotel. One of the few hotels that could accommodate more than 2 people in a room. They also had a luggage room where they held our bags for the rest of the day after we had checked out. Two computers to use downstairs, free Wi-Fi access in your room. Most of the historical attractions blocks away, a small shop right next door, an ATM across the street, and plenty of places to eat near just a block away there was no need for cabs everything was in walking distance.

“Very good hotel”

The hotel staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was a tad bit small but it was only used for sleeping and bathing. The television satellite needs work as the only English speaking channels were news channels. The hotel was only two blocks away from the railroad terminal. The neighborhood was quiet and restaurants just around the corner. Internet service, if you need it, is not free in your room and the service is expensive. An alternate is to buy an internet card from the front desk for wireless service. The only problem with that is you have to go to the wine bar to make the connection. It is not a bad problem, who has problems with wine bars, but it is not open 24 hours. The only complaint was the odor coming from the bidet. We did report it but no one came and fixed it. We had to plug up the hole with a towel to keep the smell down.

“Good place to stay in Istanbul”

The hotel is small and simple but the location is great. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, the blue mosque, hagia sophia, bascilla cistern, bosphorus, spice bazaar and grand bazaar. Located in the heart of istanbul, I loved the location. The breakfast included in the hotel was also really good. Only negative would be the flys in the room, which entered because we had to open the balcony door, due to the central heating. The small space heats up quickly and you cant control the heat so it got stuffy. Only other complaint was they didnt provide conditioner or lotion like most hotels do, but this was true of all hotels I stayed in within Turkey and Greece. I would stay here again if visiting Istanbul.
