I stayed in Nabu hotel for 4 nights in March. Overall it was a satisfying experience. The rooms were adequate, good size (I had a double room to myself). I did smell a little damp, and the walls did seem thin as I could hear the doors and next door. Fact that it was in a busy lively area, it was slightly noisy and difficult sleeping but that was as expected - no fault of hotel. House keeping was good, woman was welcoming. In terms of services, there wasn't much the hotel offered, no excursions or specific recommendations/partnerships which was a little disappointment especially being new to istanbul so it's something that I would advise the hotel to incorporate. However the owner was always helpful and tried to help where he can. It was a family run business, but apart from the main male owner who was helpful, the wife and daughter weren't very talkative - very quiet and stayed to themselves. The bar and restaurant was never hardly used. Breakfast was not to my taste, was very limited. The tea and coffees were nice. Just also want to advise that the cab the hotel booked for me to to istanbul airport, the cab driver added an extra 200 lira on (from meter reading, he blamed on toll charges) and then used his own conversion to euros. What should have been less than 30 euro trip tp airport ended up 40 euro. Hotel should be wary of this. Overall the hotel was adequate for my stay with positives bit also alot of potential for improvement to make the customer experience better.

My wife and I stayed Nabu hotel from Mar 2 to Mar 16. Friendly staff and excellent location. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to many historical sites. I would definitely choose Nabu on next Istanbul visit.

We stayed at this hotel from December 30 to January 1, and thankfully, not any longer because it was extremely loud due to a nearby club or bar—I had trouble sleeping. The front desk mentioned it was because of New Year, but I have my doubts. Overall, the staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the hotel is clean.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location that has it all. All sorts of restaurants, bakeries, variety of dining options, local coffee restaurants and Starbucks, a working historical hamam, a small gym at the end of the street and soap shop and very close to Istanbul modern art museum

For us the hotel was in the perfect location, many coffee shops, bars, and restaurants on the streets surrounding the hotel. Extremely close to 2 tram stations, and 2 ferry ports and walkable to Galata/ istiklal, and the Galata bridge. The staff, especially the gentleman that works late night was very kind and helpful throughout our trip. I read ahead that it was noisy and I’d have to say that’s my only complaint. I thought by upgrading to the junior suite we’d be further from the bar/club mentioned in the reviews, but it ended up being a top floor/rooftop club so at midnight the dj played on the 4th floor about 20 ft from our room. I imagine this room gets the most noise and it’s not as noticeable throughout the rest of the hotel. But even on a Saturday night, we woke up once and fell back asleep quickly with ear plugs. It was a fun memory seeing the people in the bar having such a good time dancing, and with an hour or 2 it was quiet again.

Great hotel in the heart of the action in Karakoy! Pubs, restaurants, cafes and shopping are literally steps from the door and the entire area has great atmosphere! The hotel itself is very clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and the shower was fabulous! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel is also just a 1-2 minute walk from the tram station, which can take you across to all the top tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque in just 15-20 minutes.

Highly recommend Nabu Hotel
Booked the Nabu Hotel in Karakoy recently for a week stay in Istanbul. The hotel is perfectly located in the Karaoke area which is close to the Karakoy port and newly developed Galata Port district. The staff in the hotel were always friendly and helped with every request. We have been looking for a hotel that we liked enough to book for our future trips to Istanbul and are happy to say that we will be staying at Nabu again in the future. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location. Room was a decent size and reasonably priced, and service was good. The room needed a bit of general maintenance, though - the bathroom door didn't close fully, not all plug sockets worked, and the minifridge wasn't working.

Great hotel in a lively area conveniently near two tram stops (Tophane and Karakoy) as well as Katakoy ferry port. There is no shortage of restaurants of all variety, charming cafes and shops. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. Our junior suite was modern, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. One thing to note: hotel is on a pedestrian only street but they allow taxis up until 10 AM / noon. Afterwards, you can get off at the nearby gas station and walk for 90 seconds to the hotel.

Loved this hotel and would stay again if back in Istanbul. Rooms are lovely and location is spot on for bars and restaurants (though most sightseeing is across the river). Only thing about being in great location is can be bit noisy at night but don’t let that put you off staying and take earplugs! All in all fabulous hotel.
