The best thing about this hotel was the hippodrome was a few steps away, so convenient for all the attractions. The was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic otherwise could have given 5 stars

What a superb find. An elegant clean and quiet hotel just one street away from EVERYTHING. The staff are polite, helpful and always cheerful. The bedrooms scrupulously clean and any problems swiftly resolved. Can't recommend them highly enough

Hotel Turkoman revisited
I have stayed in this hotel many times, but not for about ten years. It was mildly disappointing that the direct route from the hotel to the Hippodrome has been blocked off, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel. It is in a great location and the views from the breakfast terrace are fantastic - at the moment there is a great view of the exterior work of restoration to the Blue Mosque.The staff are very friendly and helpful (although the housekeeping was a bit erratic). Good location not only for the historic sites of Sultanahmet, but there are some good eateries and watering holes within a few tens of meters. All in all a good place.

Great little hotel
Great little hotel in an excellent location, topped off with a really nice view of the Blue Mosque (which is just around the corner). The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Excellent value when taking into account the very nice breakfast, would happily stay again.

Good hotel at a Great location
Initially I didn’t like the hotel as it is very old property. But overall my experience was good. Hotel manager or owner Mr Riffat is a amazing guy. Really helpful and rest of the staff is great too.

Turkoman Hotel is my first and favorite choice always when visiting Istanbul. I always feel right at home. The rooms are nice, very clean, always a good night’s sleep. The staff is helpful with all your needs. Transfers to/from airport(s) are a breeze as requested. Breakfasts are my highlight, good food assortment every morning, with serene view of Blue Mosque and Bosporus. Hotel is located close to everything within walking distance, restaurants, sights, Grand Bazaar, etc.

Charming hotel, yet bathroom not particularly comfortable, room could have had curtains covering windows in full not to allow light in and breakfast on the poor side. Being close to the blue mosque, be prepared to be woken up during the night. Of course position is great for sightseeing.

Nice hotel approx. 50 meters from Hippodrome.
The staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The views of the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome obelisk from the corner 3rd floor room windows and roof top cafe/bar area were wonderful

Exelente location and Top Staff
Excelent experience in this hotel that has an excelent location. We could see from our room the blue mosque and the square was just meters away from the hotel entrance. Could improve the breakfast.

grazioso piccolo albergo in ottima posizione
si tratta di un grazioso piccolo albergo, non nuovissimo ma pulito e con camere dignitose; ottimo il servizio, la gentilezza del personale e la prima colazione veramente ottima e abbondante. Il principale punto di forza di questo hotel e' la posizione strategica, a due passi dalle principali attrazioni storico turistiche della citta, ma allo stesso tempo in posizione tranquilla e silenziosa. Bella la vista dal terrazzo all'ultimo piano (dove si fa colazione, ma poi aperta come bar fino a tarda sera), con vista sulla moschea blu.
