“Great central location”
The staff were very helpful and professional at all times. The hotel is located in a great area close to all areas of interest. A short tram ride to the Grand Bazaar and Spice market. Local resturants only a short walk. Would happily stay there again.
“Delightful Boutique Hotel”
Nice small hotel in the old town Sultanmet District near the Blue Mosque, etc. Very comfortable rooms with king beds. Roof bar and breakfast areas have day and night views of everything important in the area, including the Bospherus Sea, all of which you can also walk to from this hotel. We came back for a second stay.
“Great staff & hotel! Good location.”
Stayed at the Ferman 4 nights in July '10. Had a great stay, room was nicer than expected and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Needed a late check out and they had no problems with that and did not charge extra. They upgraded our room to ocean view at no charge. Asked for several items, extra towels, help with room safe etc. All taken care of promptly with a smile. Breakfast food a bit average, but food fresh and the roof top location wonderful. Location close to a lot of attractions and the tram. We walked just about everywhere, and used the tram located nearby to visit the Grand Bazaar. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and our family had a great stay at this hotel.
“Great position and can't wait to stay agin”
A lovely little hotel with lovely comfortable beds. The views of the Blue Mosque are stunning. The staff were amazingly helpful when we needed medical help and great at advice on taxis and routes. A fabulous experience in a small boutique hotel, the only downside is the overpriced sauna charges.
“Great Hotel on quite street in heart of Sultanhamet”
I followed the advice of other Expedia reviews and was not disappointed. This is a great boutique hotel located on a quite street away from the hustle and bustle that is Sultanhamet. The service was excellent, rooms nicely decorated and clean and you cannot beat the rooftop views of the Blue Mosque and Sea of Marmara for the breakfast service. Easy walking distance to all the touristic sites and public transportation. When I am return to Istanbul I will definitely be staying at the Ferman Hotel again.
“Excellent Location and Friendly Service”
The Ferman Hotel lived up to all our expectations; the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was attractive and clean and we were within walking distance of all the major attractions of Istanbul. We were also ten minutes walk away from the tram or train which took us to the north of the city. Breakfast on the roof terrace was good if you chose carefully. The cereal was stale and the fruit juice had a peculiar taste but the cheese, salad, fresh and dried fruits and fresh bread were very good. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Very helpful, polite and courteous staff. A welcome cup of tea provided gratis on arrival. Spotless room. Plenty for breakfast though might not be to everyone's taste. More choice of fruit juice would have been welcome.
“Lovely Hotel !!!”
Lively hotel--fabulous service. Great location. Small issue--back rooms are near a railway and you do hear the trains. Loved the hotel--very nice rooms, clean, new, well-kept. Would definitely stay again !!!!
“hotel proche des sites historiques accessibles à pied”
Hotel qui vient d'être rénové en parfait état , très propre . Chambre spacieuse et literie confortable ,au calme ,et très bien situé dans le quartier historique d'Istanbul ,à 50m des restaurants et cafés et à 200m des sites à visiter. accueil chaleureux et avenant, petit déjuener en buffet très bon , vraiment hotel à recommander
“Essence of Turkish Hospitality”
The hotel was convenient for exploring the Sutanahmet area. The staff was attentive. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel also had convenient access to public transportation for exploring other parts of Istanbul.
