The hotel is perfectly situated for ferry day trips, to make use of the airport limousine bus (non stop bus to and from the airport), and to explore the nightlife and restaurants in the evening. The bus lines meet at the bus terminal which is also in easy walking distance from the hotel. The room was spacious for Japan and the balcony was a nice extension to the room space. Breakfast was bountiful and well worth including in your stay. For me it was exactly what I needed in order to be explore the islands around Ishigaki

Do not go unless you don’t mind cockroaches
Full of fungus smell like you can still feel from your clothes after check out. Highly likely you will sleep with cockroaches here and there. Saw a few on TV table and bathroom during our three days there. Make sure you turn all your lights on so that they are not coming out. Can’t believe I paid 35,000yen per night at this place. What an unfortunate price for the quality.

Decent view of the harbor. small rooms. basically a business hotel with a view my room 709 had a bad odor..like the smell of old men in a taxi. I didn't change the room because I didn't spend much time in it...

The absolute hardest bed I've ever slept on, it felt like we were sleeping on a box spring and nothing else. Also there was black mold in the room.

Great views and location but that's about it
We chose this hotel for the sea views and were not disappointed. However the room was old, the beds were rock hard and the pillows were flimsy. We both slept very badly. No power sockets near the beds (for charging phones), basically the rooms need to be modernised. The location is extremely convenient (a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal and airport bus) but the rooms were far too expensive for what we got.

Pros: great location, close to the port and bus terminal, two FamilyMarts nearby, lovely view of the port especially during sunset hours, friendly and helpful staff who spoke great English, rooms were tidy Cons: rooms look a bit old and not well-maintained, there were some stains and picture frame marks on the walls in our room

The hotel is a little outdated and can be a little cleaner but is not dirty, can use an update. Loved there is no carpet in the rooms, linen was super clean, the room ammenities were good quality. The best part was the breakfast, the food was amazing and the staff. The staff was so helpfuland so nice even work around the language barriers to help us. TWe had to extend due to the typhoon and they were super accomodating. I can’t thank the staff enough. Every person we encounter was nice and plesant. The location of the hotel is perfect to go island hopping, take the bus or simple walk around downtown. Is far from the beach but the island is not that big so it was not an issue. The only negative thing was the no parking, it can get expensive paying x it hourly

Good location.
Amazing location, room is clean and spacious with a resort feels. The only not so good part was that our room was not ready when we tried to check in during the scheduled check in time.

There is no parking and not able to arrange the double bed without further advise unless we request, a bit old of utility and the bedding is a bit stiff, not so soft but it s clean and tidy and the location is very good whatever to any direction of the island

Staff was helpful but hotel is worn down and the facility has no charm. Further more it is excessively overpriced in comparison with other hotels nearby. Don’t recommend it unless you really need to be close by the harbor.

Location was convenient to ferry port, restaurants and shops. Must drive to any beaches. No pool. Only one elevator goes to top floors above 3. Small but sufficient rooms with 4 beds was great for a family. Beds and pillows were very firm like Japanese futons. We prefer softer. Breakfast was great combination of Asian and American favorites plus Bue Seal ice cream if you wanted.

Stay away from Ishigaki
This is probably one of my worst selection via hotels.com. Dirty room, poor maintenance, and the worst breakfast I have seen. I absolutely did not expect such poor standard from a "Japanese" hotel, and worst of all, I paid an extremely high financial price for the stay. My sincere advice to anybody looking to visit Ishigaki - don't go. It can be a real culture and cleanliness shock for regular travellers to Japan proper. It was a nightmare.

Can’t Go Wrong
Very welcoming hotel. Staff tries hard to please. I found the beds quite hard. I requested another blanket to put on mattress and staff immediately brought up a foamy to put on the mattress. That made it comfortable. Loved that all rooms face the ocean. Can’t go wrong staying here as it is close to everything, including ferries to other islands and airport bus.

I enjoyed my stay and the ocean view. The location was convenient for walking around Ishigaki downtown and to the ferry terminal to visit other islands like Taketomi and to the bus terminal back to the airport.

Great staff but room had a strong chemical smell
I am conflicted while writing this review as the staff was very accommodating when I told them that I could not withstand the smell in the room. They let me check other rooms to see if it was better, but when checking the other rooms, it smelled the same. They were kind enough to also refund my second day booking. I had to switch hotels as I could not stay the night. I am very sensitive to scent so that could be a problem for me and not others as I saw other people who stayed in the hotel just fine and a lot of reviews are good on Expedia. The doors to the room is all rusty but the room itself is quite clean. The smell reminded me of a strong chlorine smell. If you are ok with that, the location is great and the staff are friendly.

Staff is outstanding. Willing to assist you in any way. Breakfast is amazing. My wife and always stay here when visiting Ishigaki because it's close to the port, shopping and restaurants.

Perfectly located in the center of town
The hotel is in a great location and very easy to find. We took the bus from the airport, and arrived at the final stop (Ferry Terminal) in about 35 min. We spotted the hotel immediately after getting off the bus and it only took us 5 min to get to the hotel on foot. Check-in took less than 5 min, and was very smooth. There is only one elevator in the hotel, but it wasn't a problem for us. The room condition and wifi was good, AC worked really well as it was very hot in Ishigaki. Beds were comfortable but pillows were too flat. All the rooms have balcony and face the ocean. Breakfast had lots of choices and really good.
