The house is in a very nice community campground! It made me miss camping and the restaurant there is super good and there’s even a crab guy within the park that will cook up your crabs that you buy from him and there’s a launch place for your boat. So many things but not close to many stores, very peaceful and relaxing!!!!

Clean, Quiet and Convenient
House was clean, quiet and in a very charming neighborhood. Check in was smooth and easy and the owners were very accommodating, prompt and friendly. My husband and I, along with my sister in law and nephew syayed for 4 nights and had plenty of room. We would definitely stay here again.

Our new home away from home
My older teenage daughter's and I had the most incredible time here and are planning on returning every summer! The house is just perfect! Super clean and completely equipped with everything you could possibly need. The girls had a blast with the golf cart we rented which made getting around the campground entertainment in itself. My favorite part besides the incredible house, was that there's really no need to even leave the campground. From the pool to the piers, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the General Store and the golf cart...there was never a dull moment. We grabbed what we needed from Walmart and Food Lion (both about 20 mins away) and really only left to go to the beach. If you're looking to relax and have a great time, this is the perfect place! We can't wait to come back next year!

Cozy & well maintained home thay owners take pride in. Well stocked kitchen. Everything you need. Great area for fishing & crabbing. Nice steam pot for your catch at home. Lots of notes & helpful instructions throughout home. Just an easy place to call home while on vacation. Beds comfortable. Great fridge/ washer dryer. Quick response to any inquire. We used marina- easy, friendly area. Rented golf carts- my family really enjoyed!!!

Vacation with the family
We all had a wonderful time! The house was very nice. Enjoyed exploring the area and going to the beach! A fun time had by all! Just be sure to have bug spray- the mosquitoes were really bad.

Perfect place to relax
We stayed here for a family get away and enjoyed the chincoteague area. The property is very clean and well maintained and has all of the amenities you would need. The property owners provided detailed instructions and responded promptly. I would recommend this property to others.

Great house, mixed neighborhood.
The house was great. A cozy and very clean home. The host very helpful. The neighborhood was a mix of nice trailers and Rvs as well as houses but also some traitors that were more run down. The house was very nice for the neighborhood.

This house was so cozy and very clean! It looks as if the inside is renovated and new. The property is close to a pier and we fished at nighttime. If you go and your looking forward to the rocket launch at wallops go to the pier for a good view! 10 mins from foodlion and about 25 mins to downtown chincoteague and beach. The town is small but we did go kart at night and had ice cream at Island Creamery (definitely must!). We also went out to ear at the ropewalk which if you have kids this is the perfect place, it has a playground on sand and you can sit outside and watch the kids while all the adults mingle. Back to the house, it was perfect for a family vacation, the sheets were soft and clean. The bathroom shower is a decent size. The owners reached out to check in on hoe things were going, I really appreciate that. Our family would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful home in a great location. The neighborhood is a bit eclectic in terms of houses and trailers but is charming. The house itself is beautiful, spotless, and the location was perfect for all we wanted to see and do. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous, family getaway!
We were so pleased with every aspect of this trip. The house was clean and came complete with everything you would need. There is a nice size kitchen and the bedrooms were great. Our family enjoyed the back deck, barbecue & fire pit. We rented a golf cart which was fun for the kids & allowed us to enjoy other aspects of the community including the pool. Jean was so helpful & quick to respond to any and all of my questions. We had a great time & would love to return again!

Great Cozy Spot
Great spot if you are looking to wind down away from busier locales. Great yard, loved the fire pit. Dog friendly was huge plus. Kids loved the pool, campground vibe fun and everyone super friendly. Property was super clean and owners were awesomely communicative! Enjoyed our stay!

Lovely well stocked home
This home is very clean and nice and I appreciated all of the supplies available. We enjoyed the firepit and the jacuzzi tub. My only issue was that I was told the beach was 15 minutes away but it took 35+ minutes to get to the closest beach. Also the neighborhood was quite noisy with people partying and drinking and playing loud music into late hours of the night. There were many confederate flags in the trailer park so if that makes you uncomfortable, I wouldn’t stay here. However, we didn’t have any negative experiences or interactions. Overall, we had a very nice vacation and chincoteague island is a lovely place to visit.

This place has it all. Its a beautiful home with about everything you could ask for. It is spacious, with a great back deck. Seems to be a more spacious lot than most. The host Jean, was very quick to respond to any questions. We loved our stay, and the fact that it was pet friendly was great!

Perfect Get-a-way
Communication with the owners was beyond excellent. They had everything at the house you could possibly think of. You really need to just bring your clothes. They provide all instruction and even have a cork-board with even more information about the island, places to eat, numbers to rent golf carts. This was the perfect stay for my family and plenty of room. Though it rained on us for most of our visit, the fire pit was ready as soon as we got there, they had plenty of games and movies on DVD and VHS to watch to keep us entertained even when we had to stay indoors. Location to the island was very nice and a short drive. Location of property is centralized to just about anything you could want including restaurants, grocery store, gas station, etc. I will definitely rent here again when I get to come back to the island.

Beautiful, Quiet Home just a short drive from Islands
This property is great! It is a two story permanent house located within a private campground. As we arrived at the campground, we received a friendly greeting at the guardhouse, where we picked up our guest passes for access. We followed Jean's simple directions as we followed the quiet campground roads to a fairly isolated 2 story home on a culdesac. Accessing the home was a breeze using the keybox, and we entered to check out our home away from home for the week. Three upstairs bedrooms provided comfortable space for our family group of 6 (4 adults, a teen and a child). The fact that it was pet friendly was another bonus! The upstairs master bathroom had both a walkin shower and a jetted tub which was great for relaxing. (If there was one little thing to be prepared for, the provided bath towels are very small and thin, so for larger adults it took a couple towels to get dry.) We were prepared with large beach towels, so it wasn't a problem for us, but something to be prepared for. A washer dryer combo is provided just across the hall from the master bath, and it was nice to not have a bunch of laundry to deal with when we got home! Downstairs, the kitchen was stocked with about anything we needed, even down to seasoning for the crab we caught on the pier! The back yard area has a gas grill, fire pit, hammock and a sand ground surface, great for relaxing! We contacted Jean a couple of times during our stay and had nearly immediate responses to answer any questions we had. As for the area: Within the campground, we spent hours fishing and crabbing on the pier, where we brought in everything from blue crabs to sting ray to rockfish to eels. We chatted with a variety of folks as we fished, all of whom were so pleasant. (You do need a VA fishing license fish this pier, but it's only $10 for a temporary license online...crabbingdoes not require a license) The kids loved the swimming pool as well! We also were able to grab a few things we needed during our stay at the camp store. We also spent a fair bit of time visiting Chincoteague Island (may I suggest you visit Ropewalk Restaurant for some awesome seafood...) For fishing on Chincoteague, we stopped in at the free pier at Veteran's Memorial Park. The city maintains a state fishing license for the pier, so you don't need one. And finally, don't skip Assateague Island's beautiful beaches, lighthouse, wild ponies, etc. Without any hesitation, I would recommend this property!

It’s a good weekend get away place for peace and quiet.
It was a walk to the water and pier access. It was a campground for RV’s and Trailers with some homes. The local people were friendly. We didn’t bring our pet so could I get my $75 pet fee back? We left all in clean condition as per the home owners request.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time and the house was so beautiful and clean. It was quiet, and everything we needed was there. We had a bit of a time getting in the main gate, but once we got our passes all was well. Jean was so responsive -I know we probably drove her a little crazy that weekend. But we so appreciated her patience and we had a lovely stay. Can’t wait to get back and explore the area more. :)

The location was great and the people were all very friendly. The house was nice and had everything we needed. Disappointed that ice maker and retractable awning were not working during our stay but thankfully we had so much do we didn’t really need that awning anyway, but ice would have been nice or at least a heads up so we could plan for it. Trash is a situation at this location. Arrived to 1 can with a lid on property but it was already full, property owner did send someone over during our stay to empty for us but it took a few days and by then we had already driven our trash out to the local dump down the road. Regardless we had a wonderful time and hope to visit Trails End again in the future,

A Much Needed Getaway
This house was perfect! It had everything we needed plus more. Can’t wait to go back. Would love to purchase a vacation home in this campground. Very quiet community and everyone was welcoming. Labor Day extended weekend
My sister and I were in search of a place to rent for the long weekend since our parents have a place in trails end already, this was very convenient. This rental fit 4 adults and 2 young ones perfectly. The living space didn’t feel crowded even with baby toys spread out everywhere, and the kitchen area was very spacious. My husband and I had the king sized bedroom which was more comfortable than I expected. Bringing our cairn terrier was also a nice benefit, and even he enjoyed the spaciousness of the house. We discovered this location was in sight of our parents place as well! The only slight complaints were that the water cooler dispenser was empty without any refills, but we contacted to owner and offered to trade out bottles if we needed to, which we didn’t. I couldn’t find hand drying towels and forgot to pack any. And the last slight complaint was we had to roll up the kitchen carpet while we stayed there b/c without a grip underneath we might have had some injuries bc it was very slippery. Overall, the best HomeAway rental we have had yet, and are looking into renting it again next year!

Great place to stay!
My husband and I visit this campground a couple times a year and we are so happy to have found this rental. We have family that lives here and knew exactly what to expect in the surroundings. This rental has everything that is needed for a very enjoyable stay and will definitely stay here again. House was very clean and stocked with all the amenities you could ask for. Perfect vacation home!
this was by far the best house we have ever stayed in! It was perfect. everything we needed was there and more. If you stay here the only thing you need to pack is your clothes and toiletries. They have everything!!! Even a great variety of movies if you should have a rainy day. Very clean and the people around us were very friendly. We will def rent it again when we come back.

We had a great time and the house was very nice. It has everything you need. It was very relaxing.
We loved the house. It is very nice and quiet. It would have been nice if it were closer to the beach but it has other options available and a short drive to Chincoteague. But whether in Chincoteague or off the island you still have a drive to the beach. The house is in an secure gated camp ground/older community. Old and new, it is a mixture of campers and cottages. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. If you don't like a camp ground environment then you won't like this area. But the house is lovely, quiet and very nice. We enjoyed ourselves and would return. The owner was very accommodating and made our stay wonderful. Thank You!!

Wonderful vacation home!
We just returned home from a wonderful vacation spent in this home. It was perfect and has everything one needs for a beach vacation. The owners are great with correspondence and taking care of their guests. Even though the house is pet friendly which is a great thing, you would never know by the perfect condition of the home! As always our stay was great. Things have changed though. It just didn't seem like the house was cleaned too well before our arrival. No propane in grill and no water in water cooler. And we had to buy pool passes for the kids this year. So we went to the beach most of the time and the pool once. We also had to rent a golf cart. All minor things. But house had everything we needed. Very relaxing area. People are very friendly. The jets. Our kids loved watching them fly over. Free entertainment, can't beat that. Thanks again

FABULOUS FAMILY FUN VACATION
The house is located on a quiet culdesac in a private campground resort. The main floor is oprn concept with a powderroom in the center hallway. The photos are accurate, however, you dont experience the "feel" until you walk through the door. Warm, welcoming, fresh, clean. We loved it. Back deck, yard, picnic table, camp fire, hammock...charming. Ammenities galore, jacuzzi tub, huge shower stall, mater bed room, washer/dryer...coffe pot, slow cooker, grill, pots and pans, crab mallets...and on and on..... POOL, PLAYGROUND, RESTAURANT, STORE..... Hope to return, only 20 min. From national seashore.

Nice house in trashy trailer park
Cute house in the middle of a trailer park dump. The trailer park the house is located in is full of trashy trailers with junk laying everywhere. Anything goes in the that place. Also. the drive to get to Chincoteague is 20 mins. The house is nice. Well furnished and has everything you need but not worth the location.

Just want to give some clarification...Our home is not located in a trailer park but in a campground that does have houses, campers, trailers and camp sites. We have been renting our home for over three years and I would estimate that 98% our family are very happy with the home and location and we have several family who like it some much they return each year. We do get that occasional renter who realizes the location is not their cup of tea which we understand as most people love it but its not for everyone.
