“Don't stay anywhere else”
This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I had a beautiful, huge room, the bed was amazingly comfy and it's one of the quietest hotels I've slept in. The location couldn't be better - off the beautiful Esplanande and a three minute walk down to the harbour market square and wonderful old foodhall where I ate breaky almost every morning (though breaky at the hotel is good too). Warning: be wary of seagulls - they took my Fishbread straight from my hand, two inches from my mouth as soon as I stepped out of the foodhall! Behind the hotel are the beautiful old streets of a very cool and happening place with hip cafes and quirky design shops. The hotel is not directly int the centre of the shopping/nightlife area, which suits me best, but it's only a 5-6 minute very safe walk away, if that's what you like. The staff were amazing - don't confuse the Finnish reserve with unfriendliness, all the staff answered my millions of questions, recommended and booked restaurants, printed out a map of Tallinn for my walk from the ferry to my next hotel - they were just fantastic. I actually extended my stay two extra nights because I fell in love with Helsinki, and the hotel was just perfect. Thank you.
“impressed”
comments in check list tell the story. Excellent hotel.
“The Glamour of Days Gone By”
I recently stayed a couple of nights in this newly opened boutique hotel in Helsinki. The decor and colours of the hotel are wonderful, it is so peaceful and relaxing there. The reception area is quite small, but very welcoming and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast area was quite small, but it will be extended to a winter garden. I loved my room and would have liked to stay a bit longer. Just listed to the music on the hotel website and you will get the idea of what kind of place it is...!
“A great find in Helsinki”
Very nice hotel.. Location easily accessible by tram, I opted to take a taxi because of the weather. Staff very friendly, breakfast was delicious both mornings I had it.. Room was very nice, beautiful decoration... carpets seemed a little dirty to me though, which I found to be odd, because everything else was pretty spotless... Minor hiccup though.. Showers were great too, great pressure... I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back if I was back in Helsinki.
“Excellent hotel”
Very quiet, well-appointed and comfortable room in hotel, which we had chosed partly for its proximity to the ferry terminal. We had an enjoyable dinner in the restaurant a few hundred metres along the road, receiving a discount as it was part of the same group. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended.
“Amazing jem in central Helsinki”
I travel a lot, and I must say this is one of my absolute favourite hotels. The staff are extremelly nice and very helpful. The breakfast was good and the beds very comfortable. The rooms are also spacious especially for Scandanavia. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Highly recommended!
“fabulous new hotel”
great hotel in a great location. Hotel is brand new and our room was very spacious with a great amount of amenities. breakfast was very nice though in a small area. Service and hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. I would go back here in a minutes. Close to shopping, marketplace, harbour and most sights in Helsinki
“Excellet...excellent...excellent.”
Hotel Fabian is a great place to stay. The location, very close to the Open Air Market and City Center, makes it ideal for everybody with the intention of exploring elegant Helsinki. Fabian Hotel it is very recent and still smells new and fresh. The rooms are very well decorated, with a fantastic decor, comfortable beds, great bathroom, including heated floor, bath robes, etc. The breakfast is quite good with very healthy choices and with very high quality in terms of Continental European standards. The staff is probably the most professional I have found. They don't force themselves to be good and helpful. It makes part of their training and professionalism. Anything you need, they will be there with a smile, a solution...a work around...and with a "can do" attitude. I will recommend this Hotel to all my friends and fellow colleagues who definitely use Helsinki a few times a year for meetings or conferences.
“Would go to Helsinki just for this hotel!”
Hotel Fabian is one of if not the best boutique hotels that I've stayed at in all of Europe (and I would consider myself a very seasoned traveler). The bed, linens, bath.... all were wonderful and extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel also provided a very nice breakfast in the morning. And the location was nice on a quiet street but very convenient to everything. Hotel Fabian was a fabulous surprise at the end of an exhausting business trip.
“Very nice hotel”
Small hotel in quiet place nearly to the city center (3 min. to the main street), railway station (10 min) and seaport (5 min). Unusual room design, great breakfast and affable personell.
