The best was the service from the staff, especially Aaliyah from the front deak, she and the other made the experice much more enjoyable and were most welcoming.

Not up to Marriott standards. If they refuse to provide a tissue box, or to provide kitchen wares in a space with 5 cupboards, a drawer and a sink, or to provide sugar, cream or a stir stick, there is a problem. If the answer to questions about such things is ‘this isn’t like other hotels’, there is a problem. If you rent out a room knowing that workmen will have to visit to do repairs to replace a faucet, unclog a sink, and fix a flap in the toilet tank so it will flush, there is a problem. If you charge a guest for a meal they didn't take, there is a problem. If you send the guest to the beach to rent beach chairs from another hotel because you dont have your own and the other hotel already doesn't have enough for their guests, there is a problem. $130.00 BBD for two people to have breakfast??? “What’s the ice bucket for if you dont provide glasses or cups?” Answer: to keep drinks cool. Then what is the fridge for??? This cost is for the space, thats it. Everything else is a seperate cost. Plan on spending an extra $1500 US if you stay here for a week as you wiill have to purchase food, tissue napkins, condiments, walk or drive to find beach chairs to rent. The executive suite has a full kitchen structure with absolutely nothing in it. The bed is hard, there is only furniture on one balcony so if you want to use both, plan on moving the chairs each time, there is no room service and the shower head is not adjustable. For $5900 I expected at least a box of tissue!!

Would like to have better amenities like free water fountain to refill water instead of paying for water. The staff was kind and generous enough to refill the water bottle with tap water, but it’d be nice to have free water access.

My Exceptional Stay at Marriott Barbados
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Barbados, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and friendliness of the staff made me feel instantly welcome. The standout service from Basil in the restaurant left a lasting impression - his passion for what he does is evident, and it significantly enhanced my dining experience. Kelly-Ann's kindness and humility were truly remarkable. Not only did she genuinely enjoy interacting with guests, but her willingness to go above and beyond, like fluffing pillows in the lobby, showcased her dedication to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The atmosphere at Marriott Barbados is unparalleled; it felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail, combined with the genuine care from the staff, created a memorable and positive experience. I can't wait to return to Marriott Barbados for another stay, thanks to the exceptional hospitality and the outstanding team that made my time there truly special.

Only here for one night had to wait 30mi utes until the room was ready, eventually got in at 1630. Staff were friendly but would have thought a free drink whilst your waiting for the room would be good practice but nothing offered. The room was a bit dated but comfortable, the breakfast was terrible not much choice at all especially when the room was £400 a night I’ve had better in much cheaper places Just pleased it was my company paying and not out of my own pocket

Staff not great, i ordered room service and the girl told me she was alone and that I should come down… after she forgets my order y call about 70 mins later , she tells me i call you in five.. when i come down.. she puts my plate and soup on a counter.. I see at least 3 people working, and after asking for a tray, the waiter tells me than he can now carry my stuff to the room. I politely decline. I loved barbados, im never coming back to that hotel .

Serious service problems, fine property.
Worst arrival and check in process of any hotel in my life. I waited for 70 minutes in line with just four people in it to check in. I would normally be patient but I had been traveling for 20 hours and felt sick and I desperately wanted to lie down. I understand that challenges arise and service is so difficult. However, this polite team missed every single opportunity to acknowledge the situation or assign any of the 3 not-busy staff members to help improve things. Unnecessary, colossal, and painful service failure. Other than that illustrative failure, property is fine (if a bit cramped for the high traffic), clean enough, and the staff you do ever get to speak to are very polite. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to others.

Pleasant 3-day stay
Comfortable with all the familiar Marriott settings - clean surroundings, comfy beds, helpful staff and usual amenities. However, was shocked by the high prices at their restaurant (US$7 for oatmeal). Mainly ate at nearby restaurants.
