“Best Family Time Spent!!”
Exceptional Hotel with great Characters. High standard of service unknown anywhere else stayed in Europe. Nabil,Bouteyne,Freddy, Marwan, Muhamad to name but a few, who made our trip memorable. They are natural people who put up great entertainment & personal courtesy way beyond the norm. Facilities very good. Location excellent. Don't worry about the market traders, they are trying to make money. Which country or civilisation not doing the same at the moment. Beautiful place, warm people despite political predicament, fantastic time. Go to my full review at Trip Advisor. I would recommend this hotel, you will not regret staying there I am sure!!
“Wonderful surprise”
Having booked very last minute, literally the day before flying, we were expecting a standard double room. Instead we were treated to a wonderful two bedroom suite! The staff were friendly and very helpful, in several languages, rooms were cleaned daily, and included breakfast had a great variety of local and European foods to tempt the palate. Would definately return!
“Simply Superb”
The hotel was simply superb as was the resort, with plenty eating places and shopping for the girls, the Tunisian hospitality was great and we were made to feel very welcome and made new Tunisian friends, would reccomend a stay to all ages, will be going back very soon..
“Really liked this place.”
The 'room' was a suite (lounge, kitchenette, bedroom with en suite, second bathroom and balcony). Built in a courtyard style around the pool. Restaurant food was plentiful, enjoyable and good value (especially if all-inclusive). The Medina itself is a fun structure (mock-fortified) and includes a souk, theme park, lots of restaurants/cafes and a steam bath. The beach is close by with a good selection of water sports. Things were pretty quiet when we went just before Easter.
“Family friendly hotel”
If you have kids then I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and did their best to make your stay enjoyable. I read other reviews before going on to this hotel, and so prepared myself for a medicore hotel. I think that the reviews that do rate this hotel highly, are rexpecting too much.We stayed in the self catering apartments. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a senior suite from a junior suite - without asking. The apartments were always cleaned to excellent standard - you need to wash up your own dishes.Fresh towels and bed linen everyday. the breaksfast buffet was tasty, and the beach and shops not too far away. The Viking and tex mex restaurants served very tasty food. Prices were the sames as london prices wherever you went. And make sure you top up on your french language,as everything is written in that !
“Can't wait to go back in summer”
I stay at very lovely hotel and rverything was perfect:hotel service, maintenance of the hotel, room was very clean and very comfort. people was very friendly and like to give us very good serivce.
“Tunisia at Xmas 06 at the Residence Diar Lemediar”
What a great place. Nothing can prepare you for walking along a corridor out of the hotel and finding yourself in the hussle bussle of a full scale tunisian bazarre! If you stay at this hotel you get the full tunisian experience of staying in an "authentic" Tunisian village. Everyone at the hotel and the Medina complex was so friendly and helpful. Lots of great restaurants, a great beach nearby, all very safe and secure. We had a wonderful and cheap!! holiday and hope to return again. Good too if you are a family. Cheap food at and outside the hotel. Breakfast, if you pay for it, full scale buffet for just over a pound!! All flights on time and no nasty surprises, just a great time and a clean comfy hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Bon voyage!
“Diar Lemdina, Excellent Hotel”
L'hôtel est excellent. La qualité du service, la nourriture et le confort dans la chambre sont très bonne. Par contre, l'animation dans l'hôtel est plutôt moyenne.
“Can't wati to go back”
This was my second stay there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and our room was very clean.
“Living in the Medina”
Wonderful staff at this hotel is friendly & helpful. Recommeded without reservation. Part of the Medina Mediterranea, you have a souk, restaurants, street entertainment, casino, discotec, indoor pool (really warm, 2 DT for towel-hire and 1 TD for locker) and a theme park (Carthage Land)on your doorstep! The half board option (payable at the hotel) is great value for money: dinner offers a three course meal, & at least the starter & dessert are buffets. We tried a couple of the Tunisian red wiines & were very impressed. Rooms are very clean & comfortable, with TV channels in all the major Euro languages, two cooking rings, a kettle, toaster & coffee machine besides all the pans & utensils you need to make a light meal. Taxis to or from Tunis for 5 (on the meter) is about 95 TD, but you can haggle for less (off the meter) The hotel arranges transfers at 80 TD each way for up to four people & you pay the hotel. Their currency exchange rate is very competetive. The private beaches are all a short walk away, with more stalls and cafes on the gorgeous promenade. 5 TD buys a return ticket on the Train Touristique (Noddy train) to Hammamet Medina, but it also continues on to Nabeul. Just flag it down when you see/hear it approaching. We went as a family, with three teenaged children, for a long weekend in February. There were a quite few people around, but nothing like in the summer when all the hotels will be packed.
