The bed was well past its use-by date - sagged into the middle. My wife became unwell during the night and we decided to return to Melbourne to see her doctor. All the manager (?) seemed concerned about was to make clear that I would be charged for the second night.

Dear Fr Tony,It sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me. The mattress in the room you stayed in isn't very old. So, to say it was sagging is simply incorrect. If you care to read the terms of the reservation you will see that it was past the point of cancellation regardless of the circumstances.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hamilton Lonsdale Motel. We opted to come back to this motel when we are in Hamilton because the staff are very friendly, the motel rooms are clean and modern, the beds are comfy and we can walk in and out of town.

The best one we have stayed at so far. The wifi was excellent. The room was spacious and had all the kitchen facilities we needed. The space in the bathroom was good with room to put things on the bench.
