“A terrific little hotel”
I travel for business from time to time and was faced with a last-minute search for a hotel in Hamilton. I picked this hotel based on information given me from two Hamiltonians. I wasn't disappointed. While I would have preferred a more downtown location (one within walking distance to my client's office), both hotels in my desired area had recent reviews on Expedia by previous guests indicating the presence of bedbugs. As it was, this relatively new Marriott was only a 10 minute drive from downtown; a very nice little hotel, as it turned out, with a lovely courtyard. I had the window open (the 1.5 inches allowed by the stopper) while working in my room and had the sound of the small waterfall to work by. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows; the room was kept fastidiously clean; and the staff were very friendly and receptive. About the only two things I could find that didn't meet my (admittedly somewhat demanding) expectations were: a) the in-room coffee-maker didn't work properly - I had to stand over it, repeatedly pressing the "Start" button to get it to begrudgingly make me a cup of coffee, and b) the hotel restaurant was closed for lunch. The latter issue wasn't much of a problem, but I must confess to being surprised by the fact. When next I stay in Hamilton on business, I won't do any searching at all. I'll be staying at the Marriott. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone working in or around Hamilton. Well done!
“Very Nice Experience”

“Beautiful hotel.”
We were very pleased with this hotel and would definitely go there again. Helpful reception staff. Very clean! The restaurant provided prompt service, and the breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed the pool and sauna.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel is located behind a cemetery. A light from this cemetary shined directly into our window at night. The fan on the heater was also extremely loud. The buffet is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. There were several places where the walls of the rooms or hallways were gouged or had wall papaer pealing. When we got into the room, we needed to access the internet. A card in our room told us to see the front desk for a wire, becuase there is no wireless. The clerk at the desk didnt know what I was talking about and had to get a manager, who told me it was already in the room. After searching a bit, we found the cord hanging in a ziploc bag in the closet, and connected. It literally took ten minutes for the connection to download google.

I very much enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and privacy. Staff were pleasant and accomodating when I requested an early check-in.
“Excellent hotel”
The location of the hotel is very convenient, close to the airport(Mount Hope) and to the highway. Hotel was very comfortable. Big room, very cosy beds, very good breakfast. We were very satisfied and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hamilton.
