“will definitely stay again”
We had a great stay, the hotel has been upgraded since I stayed there 3 years ago. Nice friendly staff, beautiful view over the city and we loved the Chocolate lab. THe hotel has a nice homey feel
“As good as Chocolate”
I recommend this hotel as long as you have your own car or are willing to cab it as the the location is good on a lake but not downtown. Compromise is more than worth it for room rates and included hot breakfast and free parking. And Coco the very mellow chocolate Lab lends an air of friendliness as do the serving staff at the restaurant. Rooms were fully renovated at some point and were well appointed. Close to Bayers Lake and Halifax Shopping Centre.
“A Great Value”
If you don't need to stay in the downtown core, and have access to a vehicle, this hotel is worth checking into. The very reasonable rates include parking and breakfast; the view of the lake is superb; and the staff extremely friendly. I have to make a special mention of the restaurant. The meals served there are delicious and are of a standard not usually found in a hotel restaurant. And although not in the downtown core, it does not take long to get there, perhaps 10 minutes by car. The hotel is also located on a route that is easily accessible from the airport. It is also easy to head out of town if you want to explore other communities like Peggy's Cove. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was fantastic!
“No Issues Here”
Clean and Smoke Free. Not much to say except I spent 5 nights without any issue. The restaurant serves great food though the menu is a bit small. The Hot Tub and Pool are great additions as well. It's a $5 taxi ride to the Halifax Shopping Center Area. A little more with traffic.

“One of the best hotels yet...”
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great dining room; lake-side views; salt-water pool; etc. Was surprised to have kitchenette included in room and made use of it. Friendly staff and would love to stay at this hotel again when visiting the east coast.
“Cheer weekend”
The hotel was very accomodating and the location was excellent. We enjoyed it very much and the girls had some beautiful pictures taken by the lake.

Nice clean facility. Beautiful setting but a little far from centre of the city. You will need a car.
