Beautiful, cosy apartment house "Chalet Schwendihus". In the district of Schwendi, outside the resort, 2.6 km from the centre, on a main road, south facing position. For shared use: garden. Patio. In the house: WiFi, storage room for skis, central heating system. In Winter: please take snow chains. Stepped path to the house. Parking at the house, communal covered parking (extra). Supermarket 2.7 km, shopping centre 2.6 km, restaurant 2.6 km, bakery 2.8 km, bicycle rental 3 km, railway station "Schwendi" 300 m, outdoor swimming pool 2 km, indoor swimming pool 2.7 km. Had a great and affordable stay. The apartment is on a busy road but I didn't mind it. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Pillows felt weirdly non-existent though. When trying to ask a question on arrival, I called and spoke to a lady in reception who could not seem to communicate in a professional manner (which is something I strongly value when communicating with anyone). I don't know how to explain, she was rude and unpleasurable to speak to and in the end I didn't even get resolution to my question and had to guess my way. Once I arrived at the reception, I spoke to another lady who was super nice and helpful. Upon checkout I overheard her actually yelling at a couple who were having a hard time checking out as you need to on a Wedenday on your own as they're office is closed. This really left a bad taste in my mouth and If I ever came back to Grindelwald, I would not choose to stay here again.
