Fantastic hotel with so much history. Very quirky and creeky love it. Food just yummy first class. Only one issue was the mattress was hard as rock not had any sleep and we nust have been above the outside door as it was bang bang bang when anyone went in and out.

Stunning old building, right in the heart of Grantham making everything we wanted just a short walk away. The staff were all very friendly and courteous at all times. £4 a day parking was a major plus point. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful room (though light on towels and lacked hand soap) with a nice restaurant. We did find the staff to be quite curt and sharp, very different than the service we enjoyed in London & Paris. I recommend the accommodations, perhaps we just caught the staff on an off day or two.

I have stayed before and love the character of the building. It is a historic building, the room was really comfortable and the breakfast excellent - the table service complemented the character of the room.

Bar and restaurant staff, house keeping and front of house were all very good and clealy working hard to look after customers. On our first night the bed was both ridiculously soft and broken (215), no matter we were moved first thing in the morning without any issue - again, staff were brilliant. Second room (214), second night the 3am fire alarm was presumably set off by accident, no issue we got back to sleep. Sadly the bathroom had almost no cold water, no shower, broken fan, two lights out and no way to hold the window open.
