“great beach location”

It has been almost nine years since I was in Grand Cayman...the hotel was as I remebered but nine years older! If you are looking for a nice hotel with excellant staff right on the beach...this is the one! If you are looking for luxury at its best, then stay at the Ritz...Our room was on the ground floor steps away from the beautiful beach! It was very convenient if you want fast access to your room. I hate staying at huge hotels that take forever to get to your room.They could use some more umbrellas or loungers with canopies. Overall, very nice stay and friendly staff!

This is a very busy hotel on a very crowded beach.There is no shade provided everything has to be rented.This hotel "nickel and dime" attitude wore very thin.Compared to other hotels and other islands,this is not worth ever going back.

“Not a Four Star Hotel”

This Hotel (Westin) rated 4 star certainly doesn't have the four star quality. When we first arrived, our room had a few issues, the fridge was on 3 legs, the bottled water was half full, clothing was left from previous guests and the coffee maker sitting on our bathroom counter, left no room for your toothbrush. As well, the doors were loud closing, so you heard them all night. The staff at the Westin hotel were not friendly at all, the only ones that greeted you were the cleaning staff. As well, there were only 12 umbrellas for the 300 guests that stayed at the hotel. Other hotels provided plenty of coverage for their guests. They had organized functions which did not allow you to fully use the facilities (the outside cafe and pool) were closed to guests at 6pm (nonsense).
