Perfect Location for Beach Vacation
We loved the location of the pretty home. Although it is not a 3 bedroom home as advertised, it was good for the three of us. The owner was attentive and helped solve problems that arose. It had all the necessaries for a great beach vacation.

Another week in paradise!
This is was our second stay at Villa Majorie and it just gets better every visit . The host was always available and accommodating and was as usual a pleasure to speak with ! The description is exactly as promised . The best beach in the world in our opinion and the water … it’s almost like it’s not real … it’s the most turquoise in the island … we just relaxed outback in a picture perfect serene environment that makes you not want to ever leave ! Thank you again to the host and we can’t wait to get back !

Quiet, clean home located right on the beach-PERFECT
For our annual winter getaway, we look for places like this one. It is quiet, modern, well equipped, conveniently located & directly on a beautiful beach. We like to take long daily walks and IMO this is the best beach type for that: sandy with some waves and VERY peaceful w/FEW people. What a great place! if you ever decide to sell, make sure you let us know

Beautiful house on the water
Villa Marjorie was a great house on a large soft, sandy beach. The house was well appointed, with a nice kitchen, pretty bathrooms and comfortable beds. Do note that the 3rd bedroom is the living room. The couch is a double recliner, not a pull out. My teen thought is was less than optimal for sleeping but you can always nap on the beach later (but beware the no-see-ums cause those suckers bite and you itch). The stretch of beach you will sit on has several houses and makes for a great morning or afternoon stroll. We didn't kayak too much as the water was rough, but it could be a fun activity. The other houses are close, but not too close so they don't bother you. All in all a great place for a small group to beach dream the days away.

Our son proposed to his girlfriend on the beach, wonderful moment. The property is nicely located, is very well equipped and extremely clean. Just as advertised. Great for what we needed!
I attended a wedding that was hosted on the same beach, so this rental was the perfect location. It is about 15 minutes from town which can get pricey if you take cabs, but the beachfront makes up for that. The host was super responsive throughout our stay, and we really enjoyed it!

Paradise in Exuma
My family and I stayed at this beautiful property June 2-9. This place was amazing! It was decorated so nice! The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were just what we needed. The house was very well equipped with everything from comfortable waffle robes in both bedrooms to so many beach items. They had four brand new beach chairs. The kitchen was also very well equipped with everything you need to cook with. We loved the back porch with four very nice lounge chairs. We didn’t do any tours because we had everything we needed and wanted right there. Our favorite thing about Villa Marjorie was the beautiful beach and how close we were to the majestic blue water. We spent all of our time just chilling on the beach. It was incredible! And Jenna, the property host was very helpful if we had any questions. We would definitely stay there again! Best vacation for my husband and our two daughters who are 22 and 25. Our oldest daughter was getting ready to start her residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics so it was a great place for her to relax before she starts a very grueling schedule. And our youngest daughter had just returned from Tanzania, Africa after being there for a year as a missionary, it was a fantastic way for her to decompress after living in difficult conditions for a year. It was great time of bonding for the four of us in this tropical paradise. We would certainly stay there again!

A week of sun, sand and turquoise water views
Great location, close to airport and grocery stores. House was clean and pictures are accurate. Plenty of beach towels to use and floats for the water. House could use a new grill brush, and basic staples such as salt and pepper. Groceries are expensive on the island ! Overall, a week in paradise was enjoyed by the three of us.

Beautiful Beach & House
We really enjoyed our week-long stay at Villa Marjorie! The place was very clean and had all of the cooking utensils we needed (my 5yo daughter especially appreciated all of the kids' dinnerware). Walking right out from the bedroom to the beautiful turquoise waters and softest sand I've ever been on - bliss! The villa is well stocked with laundry and dish detergent, plenty of bath and beach towels, floats, life jackets, kids' sand toys, and we really enjoyed taking the kayak out! One thing to note is the water from the tap doesn't get super hot (probably like this all over the island), but it's hot enough for a nice shower after a day on the beach. Jena was very communicative when I reached out here and there. Other notes - Be prepared for food prices on the island - very expensive compared to US ($8-12 for a box of cereal!) We used Thompson's Car Rental by the airport. Very easy process and reasonable rates. We didn't have any problem driving on the island, down to Georgetown (cute straw market), though the roads toward the northern part of the island get a bit rough (we had an excursion out of Barreterre Dock through Exuma Water Sports and would recommend them as well!) We weren't particularly impressed with the Fish Fry area for dinner (high prices, low ambiance), but Mike's Pizza Plus just down the road has delicious pizza and wings! The only unfortunate part of our trip was that my daughter got a terribly painful case of swimmer's ear. Thankfully, Dr. Rolle at the Exuma Family Medicine Clinic was able to see us promptly, and Smitty's Pharmacy was able to quickly fill her prescriptions at very reasonable prices. If you have a medical need while on the island, highly recommend them! We loved our stay at Villa Marjorie and hated to leave but hope to return one day. We'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Amazing, Relaxing Vacation
Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful week at Villa Marjorie. It was our first time on Exuma and it was more beautiful and relaxing than we expected! The house was clean and comfortable. There were many things available to us (beach towels, sand toys, floaters) in the house so we didn’t have to bring them! When the TV was not working properly, the owner arranged for a new one to be brought and installed as soon as possible! The beach and ocean were glorious. The local Bahamian people were so friendly and kind. Our suggestions for those visiting Exuma are to research ways to stop no-see-ums (bug spray didn’t work for us), make reservations for the more popular restaurants (Rusty Anchor and Blu on the water) and rent the Jeep (vs a car or minivan)! Thank you to the owner for all of your help!

Excellent beach and location
The house is located directly on a beautiful quiet white sand beach. The porch directly faces this gorgeous view with spectacular sunrises. The water was mostly calm and had an easy walk in access. There were 2 kayaks available at the house as well as floats, cooler, and kids sand toys. The manager was quick to respond and got us kitchen towels, sponges and batteries and a flashlight. We lost power 3 times for short periods of time., so the flashlight was very helpful. The house is a bit dark as stated by other renters. We pulled back the heavy dark drapes and opened the Venetian blinds. There is a new comfortable “leather” reclining couch in the living room . We used a beach towel on the seat so that we didn’t stick to the seats. Some of the photos seem to be older…there is no hammock and the table pictured under the tree was broken down and unusable. The indoor furniture was dark and showed wear and tear from it being a rental. As other have stated, there were no spices….salt, pepper etc. They left 4 trash bags for the kitchen, 4 dishwasher tabs and 4 laundry tabs…not quite enough for. 13 day stay. There were plenty of beach towels and bath towels. The cotton monogrammed bathrobes were an added bonus! The beds were comfortable, however, polyester sheets are very hot and I would not consider them fine linens. The appliances worked well and were new. There were 4 plastic Adirondack chairs, a small plastic table and 4 plastic chairs, and 5 plastic lounge chairs with very comfortable cushions on the porch. I’m not sure if water pressure is an issue in Exuma, but the house had very low water pressure. We use the hall shower since it seemed to have better pressure than the master bath. The outdoor space was definitely the house’s best feature.

Tar Bay Oceanfront House
This is a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath house on Tar Bay. The views and beach are spectacular. The house was clean and as advertised. Check in and check out were a breeze. The only negatives are: 1– that the house is a bit dark inside—-but the front porch with sliders off both bedrooms and living rooms makes up for it. 2–I had an issue communicating with management about a change in dates which was well within the change/cancel period.

Amazing place for my 50th birthday celebration
Words cannot describe how wonderful and happy we were with our stay here! The location is perfect, only minutes from the airport and Georgetown and 40 minutes to Tropic of Cancer and Santana’s and Tropic Breeze. 30 minutes to Cocoa Plum. Grocery and liquor stores 5 minutes away. Home was lovely with all we needed. It was so nice to wake up to the beautiful sun rises and listen to the ocean waves falling asleep. We would absolutely pick the home for our next visit!

A week in paradise
Overall our stay at Villa Marjorie was great. We had a slight delay in checking in due to the house still being cleaned when we arrived. We offered to switch out laundry so we could get the house to ourselves once that was the last thing that needed to be done. The house itself is amazing and the view is spectacular. The location was perfect. Close to the airport and Georgetown but also centralized to the ends of both Great and Little Exuma. The sign on the road can be hard to see at times so we looked for other houses knowing ours was coming up then. The couch in the living room has seen better days. It is really low and stinks even lower when you sit in it. The pull out bed was rough as well. My son slept on that all week and that was his only complaint of the property. When you lay down all you feel is springs. The beds in the 2 rooms were wonderful however. The house is well stocked with beach and bath towels. A few more hand towels would be nice as well only found 2. My littlest enjoyed the sand toys provided while my older 2 enjoyed the kayaks. We were surprised by the lack of basic spices in the kitchen however and we purchased our own salt and pepper. We also only had one trash bag for our stay and even after reaching out additional bags were never provided during our stay as we were told they would be. A small stick vac would be a great addition to get the sand out of the rug in the living room. We swept it a lot because even rinsing and wiping your feet sand still gets everywhere being on the beach. We enjoyed the amazing sunrise every morning sitting on the chairs on the beach our swinging in the swing. After reaching out a rake was provided so we could rake up the pine needles and pine cones on the beach. This made the walk to the water much more pleasant. The sand is some of the finest and softest sand we have ever had our toes in We already miss this place dearly and can't wait to come back. Thank you for opening up your house for our stay.

Great location on Tar Bay steps from the surf.
Comfortable for four adults. We we cooked at home each night so we saved a bunch on meals. Close to town as well as the airport. A great stay. We drove to the spectacular bonefish flat at the north end of the island each day and wade fished for hours in the crystal clear water on the high tide.

Heaven on earth
This house was perfect for my husband and I who recently returned from Exuma . The house was spacious, modern and clean. The best part is the location, centrally located to visit other parts of the island and a quick drive to Georgetown. Having the beach at your fingertips is beyond exception. We had a great time in Exuma. We were super happy with the amenities and location of the property. Tar Bay is close to George Town, grocery stores, restaurants, the airport, and so much more. The home was clean, the rooms were large and there was plenty of closet space. Our favorite part was being on the water. The large porch overlooking the beach was amazing. We woke up to the most beautiful sunrises. There was an outdoor shower, kayaks and a nice little yard to play games. The owner/manager was quick to respond to all of our requests.

Unbelievable Beach Front Property
We just recently stayed at the marvelous Villa Marjorie from June 10-14, 2022. If you are looking for a cottage on the beach then this is it. You can walk right off the porch and onto the beautiful white sand of Exuma and then right into the water. We truly enjoyed the cottage and all it had to offer. The porch was probably our favorite because we could sit either at the table or on the lounge chairs and enjoy cocktails and listen to the calm ocean water and marvel in the spectacular view. The cottage itself was clean and had all the amenities needed to make our stay perfect. Having centralized A/C and the washer/dryer were added bonuses we certainly appreciated. We only and a couple of hiccups. The first was actually locating the cottage. We used our GPS which put a dot in the ocean nearby. We got into the general area and slowed down until we saw the Villa Marjorie sign along the roadway. The next was the access code to the box holding the house keys had two numbers switched, but luckily through trial and error we found out the correct combination. That being said, if you are looking for a great cottage that is literally on the beach and is very comfortable to live in, this is the place for you. We will be looking forward to a return trip to this cottage! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in paradise!

Great beachfront location!
We had a marvelous 11 night stay at Villa Marjorie! Our first trip to Great Exuma; we plan to go back. Pics don’t do the beach justice! Our favorite feature is the lovely calm, clear water and quiet beach setting and neighborhood. A shaded covered porch, and sliding doors from each bedroom and the living area makes for great water views from most anywhere in the house!! Convenient central location on the island. House is very comfortable, a great size for our party of 3 adults. Central air works great. Washer dryer is very convenient. Good hot water, filtered drinking water, but low water pressure which wasn’t a problem for us. Kitchen was well equipped, but honestly we didn’t do much cooking.

The villa was perfect for our family of 5. Steps from the beautiful blue water. I woke to the waves and sunrise every morning and watched the waves roll in until dark. Awesome large back porch to relax. Had a wonderful stay. Can't wait to visit again!
