Loved Our Stay
This was the first time that my husband and I have been in the Bahamas. The Exuma Islands are amazing! We are super-happy with our stay at Bella Vista. The view was beyond expectation, and the location could not have been better. The unit was very clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The staff at the Hideaways are very helpful and friendly. The packet that we received from Michael and Roseann as soon as we booked was very useful. Michael and Roseanne were always quick to reply to any questions we had before and during our stay. We would definitely recommend Bella Vista. Thank you for a great experience.

Wonderful stay in Paradise
Had an amazing week in Exuma staying in this perfect unit right on the beach. The place was immaculate and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We visited many of the places listed in their recommendations and enjoyed them all. Loved the secluded beach around the corner at Jolly Hall. Can't wait to go back again and will definitely stay here.

Perfect villa for a family!
This is the best place I have rented, hands down. The villa was exceptionally clean, with everything you possibly need and more. Such cute decor!! Owners are incredibly helpful and responsive! Exuma heaven...
Perfect location, beautiful property, wonderful hosts. Michael and Roseann answered all our questions promptly and reached out to us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. You couldn't ask for more personal service than that! Bella Vista was just so homey and inviting and had everything we needed or wanted. Location on the beach and the access to Hideaways amenities just added to the overall great experience. We have been to several Caribbean islands but this is probably our best vacation ever. Can't wait to return.

Immaculate little beachfront property
First of all, Michael & Roseanne were beyond helpful. From the day we booked until we were actually there, they were so attentive and easy to get in touch with. Any emails I sent with questions were answered promptly. They were also so helpful in navigating the island. The booking and check in processes were easy and clear cut. The property was not only adorable but super clean. Cleo was helpful and kind. In fact all of the staff at The Hideaways was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying at Bella Vista and we hope to be back in the near future. Thank you again Michael & Roseanne.

The property is exactly described, and everything we could have asked for! The host communication was exceptional. I don't know what to say except that all of the reviews and descriptions are accurate. Although there was so much to see and do on beautiful Exuma, we never wanted to leave the property. The best beach was just next door, the on-site restaurant was open for all meals, and the food was great! The villa had everything we could ever need to cook, including spices and condiments. All the beach toys were on site also. This is the best place to stay on the island by far.

Amazing stay in paradise!
Bella Vista is absolutely gorgeous, the photos don’t do it justice. The renovations are beautiful and the house was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed and more. Michael and Roseann were perfect hosts, from the moment we booked they were in contact with lots of helpful information. This meant that we knew what to pack and what to do in Exuma to maximize our vacation. The check in/out processes were easy and Michael checked in with us and was really responsive during the stay. We had such a wonderful time exploring (highly recommend Forbes Hill Beach and Pretty Molly Beach) and also just enjoying the Bella Vista area (there’s great snorkeling right offshore, we saw lots of fish, starfish, a sea turtle, and even a nurse shark). We can’t wait to come back!!

A wonderful trip!!
This is a beautiful property and location made even more exceptional by the attention to detail of the owners. We booked before the renovations.....so it was an unexpected bonus! HIdeaways is a great location, probably less than 5 minutes from Georgetown and about at the halfway point of the island. The restaurant was closed when we were there for renovations, but it will really be nice to have food onsite when it opens back up in a few weeks. When a say attention to detail of owners, this also includes the guide to the island they send you. It's a game changer!!!!! We referenced it multiple times daily and it really sets you up for success. Highlights of trip were eating at Coco Plum Bistro, 7 beach tour with Exuma watersports, driving around lost and discovering new things, going to peace and plenty after 14 years, and just hanging out right in front of condo. Exuma is a place for those who want to get off the beaten path and away from huge resorts. I know when I return to Exuma, I'll be staying at Bella Vista again.

Paradise Found at Bella Vista
Our trip, from the planning stages through our departure and return home, was nothing short of perfection! Roseann and Mike were the ultimate hosts! They were always in contact and answering any questions we had. Bella Vista was absolutely the perfect location for our family of 4 (2 girls ages 10 and 12). The villa had everything we could ask for, was sparkling clean and well, we did not want for anything during our stay! The location was so incredible, right on the beach. Our girls loved being able to swim out and enjoy the beautiful blue water right from the front porch! We explored and explored the wonderful island of Exuma so much beauty to behold! We are going to be back...ASAP and thanks to Mike and Roseann, we know EXACTLY where we will be staying! Thank you both SO very much!!!!

A week in paradise
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. Michael and Rosanne were the best hosts we could of asked for. They were always in communication and making sure all was well. They provide a lot of information about the island that was very helpful. The location of the property was perfect for us. They provided everything we could ever of thought of for our stay. The oceanfront view was surreal waking up to everyday. The unit was everything we had read and more! We loved it so much we booked for next year. This is the most beautiful place we have ever visited.

Amazing!
It was the best vaca ever! From beginning to end it was perfect - the weather, people, beaches and villa! I can’t even begin to say enough about the villa BellaVista at Hideaways. It was like walking through our own front door - there is nothing you could want or need that they did not have there and the owners answered any and all questions and believe me I asked a lot and they couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful! Heaven on Earth
I don’t even know where to start. We have travelled extensively and always use VRBO. But this by far was the best experience we’ve ever had. Our hosts, Mike and Roseann were exceptional. Their communication throughout the process was exemplary. We were even lucky enough to get to meet them during our stay. They are fabulous people whose main concern is that their guests have the best experience possible whether it’s staying at Bella Vista, renting a car or taking an excursion. They are always available and ready to help. The villa was clean and comfortable and perfectly located. Having a restaurant on site was very convenient. But if you prefer to cook, everything you need is already in the villa. They have thought of everything and then some. We will be frequent returning guests whether it’s at Bella Vista or their new unit, Bella Vista Breeze (which we also got to tour and it’s going to be fabulous!). Exuma is by far the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited and we cannot wait to return.

Perfect getaway with a incredible view !!
This rental make our dream vacations come true. From the reservation process, check-in and even during our stay Micheal and Roseann were always communicating with us to make sure everything was ok. Very causy villa, beachfront and just a minute away from the fabulous Jolly Hall Beach, this rental is centrally located and easily accessible with a large parking if you rent a car. The on site Splash restaurant is very good as well, after a big day beach hopping, grabbing a last minute pizza and enjoying the view from front porch is priceless. Lot of amenities into the villa from beach chairs to umbrellas or even snorkeling equipement you won’t need to overpack your luggage to enjoy the island. Truly a amazing renting experience, thanks so much Micheal and Roseann for this opportunity, will definitely will come back in a near future.

Perfect Paradise
If you’re a small family and wanting a host that will give you all the scoop on where to eat, who to rent from, tours, etc then this is the one! Steps from the ocean, we had a turtle visit every morning in our bay. Love the hot water in the showers! Spent the last two days at a hotel and gosh we missed this condo SO MUCH!! Front desk was so nice as well. Splash was delicious too!

Lovely time, perfect location
It was even better than we thought it would be, the location is marvelous, close to the Fish Fry, but not close enough hear or see it. On a beautiful beach, with an truly ideal beach only a 4 minute walk. Right on the beach, enjoy the ocean from the patio, the lounge deck or the beach itself. The hosts were the best part, caring and provisioning the property in a fashion that was obviously the best in the resort. We will stay here again.

5 stars is not enough!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. Opening the door each morning to the gorgeous view of the Caribbean Sea was our favorite part. You are literally steps from the beach. The property was spotless! It was stocked with anything you might need including beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need should you choose to cook during your stay. We cannot say enough about the staff at the resort. We arrived quite early on a Sunday. Cleo, the housekeeping manager had us in long before our 4 pm check-in. Annette, Cindy, and Reesa at the front desk bent over backward even helping us get a rental car. If you want to enjoy and explore beautiful Exuma-Bella Vista is the perfect spot!

Amazing stay at Bella Vista
Having stayed at VRBOs in many different countries, we were thrilled with our experience at Bella Vista. Michael and Roseann communicated very well from day one of the booking and all the way through our vacation. The information they gave us about the property and the area was invaluable. Loved their photo book full of inside info! Bella Vista was clean and full of all the comforts of home. Couldn’t ask for more. Nothing was better though than the view from the deck. Sitting out with a cup of tea in the morning was the perfect start to the day and a glass of wine, listening to the waves, finished off the day nicely. We rented a car and explored the island, finding beautiful beaches, amazing food and lovely people. A fantastic holiday! Thank you Roseann and Michael!

Great place for a getaway
I always try to find 5-star VRBO places as they rarely disappoint and this was no exception. But what really stood out that many other 5-star places don’t always have is how well maintained the villa is and how nice the amenities are (ie. kitchen pots and pans were almost like new condition and quality materials). The villa has great air conditioning, fantastic water pressure, comfy bed and as other reviewers noted, the hosts has a plethora of items to use to make your stay complete - from any beach gear you can think of to sunscreen and bug spray to a private washer/dryer…. and towels that are like the kind you would have at home! Communication with the hosts was perfect from the start - they’re super responsive and ensure you have all the information you need for your stay. And since they are attached to the Hideaways resort, it was really nice to have the resort perks such as access to kayaks, paddle boards, front desk and lounge. And the staff were some of the nicest people I’ve met. Location is also great as it’s near Georgetown and right in the center of it all. Highly recommend this place for your Exuma trip!

The Best
We loved our stay at Bella Vista, a definite “10” all-around. I can’t say enough about Roseann and Michael. They are the ultimate hosts, who are pro-active, communicative, and detail-oriented, plus all the other superlative adjectives you will see in the other reviews here. We have stayed here before (2017-18), but we are so impressed with the fine touches that they have added. We particularly appreciated the spice rack (yay!) and the single-serving condiments, sugars, jellies, coffee/creamer, etc. The addition of the excellent snorkel gear, flashlights, bug-repellant items and candles, beach chairs, playing cards, and any number of small but significant items mentioned in these reviews are so welcome! We like to travel light, and knowing that these items along with the washer/dryer, are here means we can pack less, especially our snorkel gear, which tends to take up a full bag. It will be redundant but bears repeating how wonderful it is to get out of bed to enjoy the sun rise over the water from the front porch (in the very nice and comfortable new chairs). The only problem we had was the New York Yankees beer opener. We would like to generously offer to replace it with a nice, shiny Red Sox opener. Wink. We have stayed elsewhere in Exuma, but Bella Vista is seriously the best and we can’t wait to return. Cannot recommend it enough. Thank you again, Roseann and Michael!

I want to stay there again - ASAP!
This is a beautiful property. It was very clean and the kitchen very well equipped. We had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy! The view is not to be believed and we started our days watching the sun rise. The owners provided great advice and the information they provided helped us decide what beaches we wanted to visit. We really appreciated the snorkel equipment, since our luggage was delayed. Having that shallow, calm, clear water and white sand right outside our door was incredible. One night we swimming late and gazed at the stars! We had no issues. One night, while we were at dinner there was storm and the power went out. The Resort Manager checked on us – we didn’t even know there had been an outage! Recommend bonefishing – it was beautiful and fun (Look for Drex)! Have to a shout out to Smitty’s which has a pharmacy (they were able to sell us replacement meds since my hubby’s meds were packed) and Marilyn's gift shop which was opened on Sunday and sells men’s shorts, shirts, underwear, flops and hats!

Quaint Cottage
1st time using VRBO, I was pleasantly surprised. I’m used to large resorts with all the bells and whistles, and this wasn’t that. This property and location is even more beautiful than advertised. This was our first time in the Bahamas for our 20th anniversary and to start off our stay Michael & Roseann made it extra special with a card and a gift! Bella Vista had all the amenities you would expect and a lot of extras (bug spray, suntan lotion & spray, first aid kit, bug zapper etc. -too much to name) and of course stuff to start us off-toilet paper, dish and clothes detergent, trash bags, shampoo and body wash, hand sanitizer, coffee and filters-and other supplies. The bed was very comfortable-there were beach chairs, a beach umbrella, coolers everything you would want to plan a day away. They have an amazing hard cover book with things to do, another binder with restaurant menus and other info. Right out front the view was the best that I have ever seen-absolutely breathtaking. We spent many days snorkeling out front and saw a turtle on 2 different days. Down the road we went swimming with 5 different turtles at Hooper's Bay that kept brushing up against us and getting their little faces right up into our camera-they were so docile and beautiful. Went to Chat & Chill and swam with 2 stingrays that kept coming up to us. Saw a smaller we believe Lemon Shark which was so amazing (had no interest with us). Some great places o eat was Blu on the Water, Big D's Conch Shack, Splash for the pizza (unfortunately a lot of places were closed during our stay). Island groceries higher than in the states-but not as bad as some places we have visited. And the people-OH MY-they are the FRIENDLIEST people I have ever met-all would walk past and say hi and were very engaging! Michael & Roseann checked in on us a few times to make sure that all is well (did not pester) which was so sweet! I cannot express how happy we were to have found this gem and Michael & Roseann who were with us from the day we booked answering questions and giving ideas for our visit! Thank you Both So Very Much! I would Highly Recommend Bella Vista -the Best Place We Have Ever Stayed At!

Beautiful Oceanfront Villa
BellaVista is a beautiful oceanfront property located in the Hideaways. The location is absolutely perfect and centrally located in Exuma. The unit itself has everything you need to have an ideal vacation in Exuma. The bedroom was roomy, the master shower has great water pressure. They have a fully stocked kitchen if you want to eat in. Michael & Roseann go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and even checked up on us numerous times (the neighbors were jealous). They provide lots of recommendations on what to do on the island. They even have movies and games for when Mother Nature shows up (rain). The view is absolutely breath taking morning, noon and night, especially when there is a nice breeze blowing. We loved being close to Splash if we needed a drink / food. The paddle boards and paddle boats were fun, loved all of the snorkeling. We saw a turtle a few times right out front. Walked to Jolly Hall beach around the corner if our water was too rough. Bella Vista and Exuma exceeds high expectations
It’s obvious why Bella Vista consistently receives a 5 star review. Michael and Roseann are perfect hosts. The welcome packet they provide includes everything you would need to know before arriving and how to maximize your time on the island. The villa is clean, well stocked, and in a great location. Bella Vista Paradise
My family stayed at Bella Vista for ten days and had the trip of a lifetime. Michael and Roseann were exceptional hosts that were always available for questions or issues. The villa is perfect for a family of four and had everything that we needed. Michael and Roseann prepared a book of Exuma highlights that was helpful in our discovery of the island. Bella Vista and Exuma comes highly recommended and will not disappoint. We plan to return in the future and will not hesitate to stay at Bella Vista again.

Highly Recommend!
It is going to be so hard to summarize our experience. We had such an amazing time and were impressed with not only the property but the constant communication with Mike and Roseann. We brought our children with us and were the first wedding at Bella Vista! They helped us throughout the entire process and provided many recommendations and different options for our special day. I can honestly say they were there for us every step of the way! The villa has everything you need down to spices for cooking. Everything was just easy and convenient! We have stayed at other properties where there is absolutely nothing and you have to go buy everything or bring it with you but with Bella Vista you just need to pack your clothes and go!! There are so many good things about the experience that we had staying at this rental. First, Michael and Roseann are the best hosts ever. It is clear that they love the house and the area and really want their guests to share the love. They made every step extremely easy by sending out tons of useful information. When we arrived we found that they had even more information in the rental. They had pictures and books that explained everything about the area. We found this to be very helpful since we had never been there before and weren't sure about where to go or what the best things to do would be. Next, the area is the most beautiful place that I have ever been and may just be the most beautiful place that there is anywhere. It starts just by stepping out of the door of the Villa. It is hard to understand the beauty unless you see it for yourself! The location of the Villa is, in my opinion, the best location that you could stay at in Exuma. It is right in the middle of everything and really close to town. We are so grateful to Michael and Roseann for all of the ways that they went above and beyond and would definitely stay there again if we have the privilage of going back to Exuma!!

Great Trip!
Bella vista was absolutely perfect for us. It is super clean! The beach is literally steps from the front door and Michael and Roseann were a text away for answering any questions we had. Kitchen is fully stocked and also stocked with extra sunscreen, bug spray and anything else you might have forgotten. They even have beach chairs and a yeti cooler for you to enjoy! Perfect location for walking to restaurants and the beautiful Jolly beach. Really excited to find this property and definitely will return soon! Sent from my iPhone

Amazing Vacation!
Michael and Roseann are amazing hosts and immediately responded whenever we reached out. Everything was perfect at this location! Great value as the price is very reasonable but the "extras" are endless (beach chairs, games, movies, live TV, Netflix, coffee, tea, jams, sugar, salt, seasonings for bbq, beach cooler, bug spray, aloe lotion for sunburn, etc. etc. etc). We frequently stay at VRBO locations when we travel--this spot is the best so far for us. Property is very easy to find (on the main road with good signage). The pictures are an excellent representation of the villa, which is large, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous beachfront view. Hosts communicated quickly from beginning to end and were extremely accommodating to our every request (including 8 AM check in, 1 PM check out). Wish we could reserve this location again next year but it's already booked up. If you've stay here before, you'd definitely understand why!

Paradise
We spent a beautiful 11 days in Exuma. Our stay was split between Bella Vista and another rental property in Rolletown. While we enjoyed staying at both places, Bella Vista definitely blew the other place out of the water as far as everything that was provided for us. The unit was very clean and Michael and Roseann provide absolutely everything you could possibly need! We especially appreciated the beach chairs and yeti cooler for our lazy beach days. The tv is set up with Netflix which we were super excited about when we had an evening rain shower. They also provide you with tons of information about the island, places to go, restaurants, tours, car and boat rentals, advice and tips. We felt very well prepared and all the information helped us out a ton with planning our stay. It was the most convenient and organized vacation! They even send a video showing how to locate the unit, check in was super easy. They make themselves available for any questions you may have, truly wonderful hosts. We also loved the location, it was convenient to Georgetown and several restaurants and bars. Jolly Hall beach is one of the most beautiful beaches and only a short walk away. It was nice to have the hotel amenities and a restaurant on site when we didn't feel like cooking or venturing out. The office was able to book a car rental for us which was nice. Also a short walk away is Latitudes and Frankie Bananas, both great little beach bars - perfect for those evening cocktails! Thank you so much Michael and Roseann, we can't wait to go back!!

Great place right on the water
We had a great time at the property. It's conveniently located close to town and right on the beach. Walk out the door and the amazing turquoise waters are right in front of you. The property is well stocked, very comfortable, and its proximity to town cant be beat. The owners have meticulously maintained this property, were quick to respond to questions and provide great advice for first-timers to the island. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay. Best Bahamas Beach Stay
The name "Bella Vista" is apropos for the beachfront property. We loved being so close to the water and having access to snorkel gear, beach umbrellas and chairs, plus toys and floaties for our 8-year-old. We also liked the convenience of keyless entry, access to resort amenities and the washer/dryer.

Amazing Owners and Property
Thank you for an amazing vacation in Exuma. I have been planning this trip for almost 2 years and had so many questions. I have never traveled outside the U.S. so I was very nervous to take my children out of the country. The Bahamian people are the friendliest, happiest people I have ever met in my life! Michael and Roseann were always available and responsive. A week before arrival I received an informational packet with all the information I needed to plan my trip, including restaurants, step-by-step directions to beaches, tours, must-do's, car rental etc. It literally was like having a personal travel guide. This guidance didn't stop after the introductory email....throughout the entire stay they were available and responsive to everything we needed. Now, the property...WOW! The location is perfect...directly on a beautiful beach with access to kayaks, a swimming pool, and restaurant. The unit had everything we needed and the property manager stopped by to check on us mid-week to see if we needed anything. I even was able to do my laundry done on-site one evening which made unpacking so much easier! Exuma truly is the most beautiful place on earth, this once-in-a-lifetime trip was quickly added to our regular destination list by my family! Thank you for the best week!

Wonderful experience overall
My husband and I had never been to Exuma. Traveling during the pandemic has also never been 'easy'. We had visited Eluethra previously and loved the Island and the people but wanted something with a few more options overall (dining, recreation, etc.). Bella Vista was a great location b/c of a few reasons. One, it is right on the water (that was a must for us). Secondly, the location to downtown for groceries, covid testing, shopping etc. In addition, being able to utilize Hideaway's amenities was also very nice (honestly though, we only utilized Splash - the restaurant / bar). Michael and Roseanne we're so informative during our entire process. From the moment we booked our stay, they sent us a 'travel guide'. They answered numerous emails, in great detail, regarding excursions, restaurants, testing protocols, etc. Just before we arrived we received another detailed message that even included a video showing the walking path to their unit!!!! They gave us their cell numbers in case we needed anything (I started to worry that Michael was going to block my number with all my text messages LOL). I even text when we could't find a couple of beaches and sure enough - we'd get a text back w/ specific markers to look for etc. I can't say enough about their level of responsiveness and guidance. The unit itself was well stocked with basics and a fully functioning kitchen which was really nice for when we decided to cook in. They even had 'extra' bug spray and sunscreen etc. 'just in case'. We truly enjoyed our entire experience and would highly recommend staying at the Bella Vista. We can't thank you enough for sharing your piece of paradise with us!
