1. They need to have English-speaking staff to support the influx of tourism into Japan. Especially in the Mount Fuji area. I was shocked to discover the staff could not speak English, even though I am a local and I’ve lived in Japan for over 30 years and so I switched to the native tongue yet it’s still not a resolution. This is one point you can definitely DO BETTER!
2. Beds are very hard! Had a terrible night sleep. Thank God it was just a one night crash due to the snowstorm making it too dangerous to drive back to Tokyo last night. I’ve stayed at the Toyoko Inn before and I don’t recall the bed being so hard.
Otherwise, pretty standard, and all the other facilities in the room were just fine. Which is why I gave an overall average review.
Toyoko Inn, please please work on these two points! Thank you.
