“Loved my stay”

Attended a conference and the hotel was so convenient. The rooms were clean and cozy and the beds were very very comfortable. The staff very friendly and there when needed.

“Nice touches but the bed wasnt very comfortable”

The room was very nice. There was also a nice touch of a eye mask, ear plugs, and lavender spray. The pool area was very clean, plenty of towels, the hot tub was large and clean. The steam room was a nice experience. My only critique was the bed in our room (2 double beds) was less than comfortable. With two of us in there, we slumped towards the middle - (We are not large people). It may be time to update the mattress. The decor was very nice and lots of extras in the bathroom. Overall, a very pleasant stay. There was something outside the room in the morning that dripped and woke us up. Not sure if it was condensation from an air conditioner on a higher floor but it was annoying to be awakened by this and then being kept awake.

Area recommendations

Downtown, you can walk along the Green, next to the Saint John river. The beaverbrook museum is right next to the hotel. There is shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes of hotel on foot.

“wonderful location”

Beautiful spot right on the walking path that runs along the river in Fredericton with many restaurant choice within a few blocks. Supportive staff, elegant old hotels. As the other reviews mentioned might be time to update it, but very comfortable, clean room. Reserver a riverview room when making reservation.

“Some rough edges but it was fine...”

I stayed here for two days this week on business. I ended up on the first floor near the pool. The room was not that large and definitely in need of updating. However, it was quiet, comfortable, the service was friendly and overall, everyone was eager to please. We had a great meal in one of the inhouse restaurants. One negative... the wireless started out working ok (and oh by the way it is free) but about an hour before I left when it pooched out on me.

Area recommendations

The entire downtown area has a lot of pubs and some great restaurants. We went to the Blue Door and I had a scallops dish that was absolutely wonderful. As the capital of the province, Fredericton has more than its share of art galleries, museums etc. The hotel is located along the river and it is a beautiful walk. Make sure you walk down to the bridge.... the one that has been turned into a pedestrian walkway.....The hotel is wondefully located to take all these things in on a short walk.

When to go

From what i saw, September is definitely a good time to go to Fredericton.

Getting around

Next time I come here, I'm also going to bring my bicycle.

Nightlife

We sure did find a lot of nearby pubs with great selections of fine beers.

“Great location, great service”

I am originally from Fredericton NB, so I knew the location was perfect. I hadn't been in the hotel since it became a Crowne Plaza and was not disappointed! The beds were extremely comfortable, the service was wonderful and it was very quiet. We were upgraded to a riverview room, which was lovely. We would stay here again for sure.

“Frederiction Hotel”

The hotel was easily accessible from the airport. The staff were simple folks, nothing extraordinary but nothing unacceptable either. The lobby was pleasant, the elevators were easily accessible and the rooms were up to par. Fredericton is a sleepy town, nothing much to do but if you find yourself there, this is a great location. Your are minutes from all amenities and minutes from sitting and taking in the beautiful ocean view. It is a comfortable experience and well priced.

“Bit of a faded lady...”

Lobbies show off a former grandeur but despite a recent refreshing, look tired and worn. Room was clean and had been recently updated. Bed was comfortable. We had not stayed in this part of the hotel before and the room was significantly smaller than the room from our previous stay. It was cramped for space with all the furnishings. Not usually bothered by the heat but it soon grew hot and stuffy. Unfortunately the AC was not working properly which warranted a call to the front desk. They were able to remedy the situation while we were out for supper. Closet door hardware was broken, and interfered with the hall door when opened. Room service for breakfast was prompt and the food was very good. Super location for our purposes.

Area recommendations

This location is great. Right on the riverfront and superb walking trails. Close ot the downtown core and right next door to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.

Visit the Beaverbrook Gallery next door to the hotel as well stroll the riverfront trail.

“Exemplary”

Our family of three has stayed in a few hotels these past few months for various reasons and this was by far our best experience yet. We really have nothing negative to say. We were staying at this particular hotel because we were attending a wedding there for a close family friend. Although the hotel is expensive, the hotel staff were friendly and polite and accommodating from the moment we checked in; our room was immaculate. Our first room was a bit small for the three of us (little room for the baby's playpen- but they allowed us to move up a room size at no extra cost! The hotel staff wanted to ensure our stay was a pleasant experience, and it really was. Very satisfied indeed.

“Great downtown location”

This is a very nice hotel strategically located downtown and on the waterfront. The city has an extensive bicycle and walking path running just by the hotel.
