Awesome Cute Cabin
The cabin was great, clean, and very well decorated! The location was great and very close to some very nice hikes. The hosts are great and give so much info. 10/10 would recommend this cabin.

Great weekend
my son and I stayed at pine cone cabin for a father son weekend. Loved are weekend up here so enjoyable and relaxing could not have asked for a better weekend. felt very at home. wood stove kept the cabin very warm and toasty. Hope we can come back sometime. Glenn.

Lovely cabin
We so enjoyed our stay in this great cabin that was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need for your stay and so cozy and clean. It was a great place to return to in the evenings after a day of exploring the area. Great communication with the owner as well.

OMG this is so cute
This is what i heard from my wife about this cabin all weekend long. We were celebrating our 25th and to see my wife smile so much was priceless. Highly recommend this cabin. The host were great and have put alot of thought into this cabin.

Wonderful Cabin!
We had an amazing stay in this cabin. It is SOOO well appointed. Anything you need and more has been stocked and ready for use. It was super clean & the location cannot be beat. It was very convenient for Shenandoah National Park and all the other attractions in the area. Also, the communication with Patrick was above & beyond. I would definitely stay again!

Anniversary
We enjoyed the privacy. We like doing short weekends for our anniversary and we look for cabins that are remote as possible. My wife loved all the pictures and decorations around the cabin, she said every time she would look she would see something new. The master bed was extremely comfortable and apparently other people felt the same way according to the guest book. LOL. The homeowner was in communication with us to make sure we found the house and got in okay and to let him know if we needed anything. Finally I guess one of our favorite things was the fresh spring water they had there for us, you can definitely taste the difference.

A must stay!
This is our 5th summer staying at Pine Cone cabin and it NEVER disappoints! Not only is the cabin so charming and quaint, it has everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Our favorite activity is firing up the grill and listening to music outside by the fire pit. We can’t say enough good things about this place and the location. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, look no further. Not to mention, the hosts Patrick and Dale are amazing. They’re so sweet, communicative, and generous. I genuinely can’t say enough good things about them and the cabin.

Quiet time away
We came to eacape daily stress and hike. Cabin is out of the way,but still just a 30-45 minute drive to Luray or the Skyline Drive. Bed is comfortable, area is quiet, although there is a farm nearby which was always active. Burds chirping, covered porch allowed us to still be outside during the rain. Very much relaxed and enjoyed our short stay.

Perfect getaway. Super quiet and super clean!
My husband and I wanted a quiet place to unwind, and we got it! We have visited the area before, but this is the first time we stayed at Patrick & Dale’s cabin. The winding road to the cabin has some beautiful views, so we slowed down from the start. The cabin was clean and was very comfortable. We felt like we were home. I cannot recommend this cabin enough!! Thank you for a amazing vacation!!

Cabin in Fort Valley
The cabin was exactly as described and had any supplies imaginable. Check in was easy and communication with the owners excellent. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Numerous antiques in the cabin made it interesting as well. The leaves were sensational in the Valley and Shenandoah National Park. We have stayed in VRBO's in many parts of the country and this one was one of the best!

Our family enjoyed our stay very much, this cabin was awesome. We enjoyed the view with all the leafs change. This scenic drive was beautiful. The is just right for family of four outdoor covered area. Nice fresh air. Plenty of condiments. The cabin was very clean. Would surely stay again. Love the antique shops in area. Close to caverns. I would recommend this cabin to all.

Like your grandmas cabin
Loved the little cabin. It was more than roomy enough for my friend and I. Everything we could need was provided. We appreciated the well water stocked in the fridge and the east check in and out. The place is adorable and reminded us of visiting our grandmas as kids. The property is quiet and secluded. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Would make a great little retreat from the world! If we ever make our way down to VA again, we will be back :)

Perfect in Every Way
We had such a phenomenal stay at Pine Cone Cabin. When we arrived, the property was as beautiful and adorable as advertised; I highly recommend visitors wake up around sunrise to drink their morning beverage of choice on the side deck (or in the sunroom). Everything in the cabin was perfect from the appliances to the furniture to the decor. The propane heater hadn't been used yet that season, so we had to prime it a bit, but Patrick (one of the owners) stayed on the phone with us until we got it ignited. In fact, whenever we had a question, he responded almost immediately. In terms of location, the cabin was easy to locate and a short drive (20-30 minutes) away from every activity we had planned. We wish we had planned a longer stay because we're already missing it!

My husband and I loved this cabin! Such a cozy atmosphere and tastefully decorated. Everything seemed clean and organized. The little welcome chalkboard with our names on it was a nice touch. No complaints about the cabin! The only suggestion I would have is putting larger address numbers on the mailbox. The numbers were hard to read and our GPS wasn't working well due to the weak reception (Verizon) so we missed the driveway at first and had to turn around. Arriving after dark didn't help either. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely stay in this cabin again if we returned to the area!

Pine Cone Cabin is exactly as described, actually even better than described! It’s furnishings are eclectic eye candy. We found it to be very inviting and comfortable. And we’ll stocked with basic essentials and more. We spent a lot of time on the side porch, especially in the mornings and late evenings. Patrick communicated with us often and I find him to be a delightful person and host.

What a gem!
I cannot think of a negative thing about my stay at Patrick’s place. Communication was amazing, place was super clean and even though Intend to bring a few of my favorite kitchen tools the place was exceptionally stocked with everything I needed. Patrick checked in to make sure we arrived ok and everything was ok and same on the way out. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a peaceful place. So cozy and tranquil. My friend and I felt so at home! Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Even things you didn't know you needed! Perfect anniversary getaway
My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary. We weren't sure if our daughter & her husband might be able to join us for a night or not, but the host were very easy to communicate with regarding the possibility. The cabin was PERFECT! It was exactly what we pictured; private setting, nestled in natured, and felt as though it had been part of the valley's history. We absolutely loved the spring water that was provided in jugs in the fridge. The personalized welcome note really made us feel at home. We only went for a short trip, so we packed a lot in to a little time, and having so much information provided was very helpful. We really enjoyed reading through the book about Fort Valley, sitting on the covered patio watching the birds, and all of the eclectic decor in the cabin. Even as we left, I felt like I still hadn't seen everything. We really did have the best time. We went kayaking on the Shenandoah (Shenandoah Outfitters) and a hot air balloon ride (Valley Ballooning), all in one fast paced day, two firsts in 40 years! We highly recommend this adorable little cabin, tucked in the trees just outside of the tiny town we wish we had spent more time exploring. Maybe we'll make it back on the fall!
