Housekeeping was very limited, although any items such as clean towels or coffee, soap, etc, was available at the front desk. It was a disappointment that there was no breakfast available, or a restaurant attached to the hotel. We did know that ahead of time, however.

Location was great but 300$ for a room that lacks shelves, wardrobe, has a tiny bathroom, rusty door lock, no cleaning service in the 4 days, felt like a little overpriced.

Location was great. Nice and quiet..Lots of dining in the area..Rooms are spacious. The t.v. and Internet went out in the middle of the night. I'm a night owl so I wasn't happy about this. Tried to call front desk but the phone didn't work. Also, there are not enough outlets in the room or any USB charging ports or other more modern upgrades for technology use.

Our stay at this hotel was decent due to the staff being so friendly and close proximity to the beach. I will say that our room smelled like mildew (similar to when you leave clothes in the washer for a few days), and when I let a staff member know, we didn’t receive a response. We finally figured out that it was the shower curtain, but not the end of the world. Our biggest complaint was the thinness of the walls and the absolute party house that was happening after hours. We ended up having to call the front at 1am to ask the people around us to stop screaming and blasting their music (we had our 4 year old with us). The gentleman who took my call was SO kind and handled it immediately, but I don’t think I would return as a family due to the overall environment and lack of peace and quiet.

Nails in the parking lot. We had a flat tire the first night there and the very next day, we had another flat tire. I picked up the nails and showed them to front desk. The staff was great there but unfortunately dealing with two flat tires on a brand new car ruined my trip there.

Very nice remodel and a most fair price for what was received. There is no bar, yet Expedia says there is. There were no bicycles to borrow, even though the notebook in the room said there were. We had to ask for service to our room after several days (5 to be exact). The staff were very kind. The hotel is very convenient to the restaurants, bars and shopping on the island. I would, actually, stay here again. They just need to take down the bar sign on Expedia, as it is false advertising. They need to, actually, buy bicycles, if they are going to say that they have them for complimentary use. I should not have to ask for service for my room, when I am staying seven nights and (only after five days and personally asking two days in a row) finally received it.

Room was nice and clean. Front desk was kind and attentive. Location is great and right on the beach. Walls are very thin. You can hear everything and all conversations in the room next to you which means they can hear you too. I had to listen to a couple fight and man yelling at his children, their children screaming and banging on the wall, and their TV on blast last into the night. Workers were repairing things and hammering all afternoon while cursing and teasing each other and I could hear it all. I was trying to be on a conference call but had to cancel it because of the noise and them sounding like they were in my room. Was a nice place but definitely needs insulation or something for sound and construction employees should show discretion.

Its a nice location and the beach is nice. The property could use some updating. Staff is sparse and there are not a lot of amenities but its good for a basic trip to the beach.

I loved the location and closeness of the beach. And room very clean. But the pool was never opened because of repairs , and bathroom is micro small for size of room.

All staff we encountered were wonderful. Lobby area was nice and free coffee was very good. Room fairly large but laid out in a strange manner. Bed was wedged into an area that made it very difficult to enter from one side. Two TV's, one in front of the couch and a small one in front of the bed. The one in front of the couch was on Direct TV and had good service. The other one appeared to require a log in, so was useless. A remote was available for each TV, but when you turned one on, the other sometimes came on also. Sometimes, when you turned one off, the other came on. The bathroom was tiny. The bottom of the tub was very slippery and a fall risk. The toilet was pressurized flush, which flushes clean with very little water use. The problem was, with that bowl type, large drops of the toilet content came out of the bowl. I would close the cover before flushing and there would be drops on the underside of the cover and both sides of the seat. While the room was generally clean, I did encounter one roach in the room.

It looks as though the property has had some renovations and that they are trying to make the rooms nicer and more modern. Very clean but some things in the room are dated(like old farm alarms and maybe where lights were was just), I didn’t like the new light placement at the sink you can’t do your makeup properly. That being said I was very comfortable and it was soooooo close to the beach!! Love that part!

Came down on the off season to enjoy a weekend at the beach. The hotel felt like a ghost town and the staff had obviously packed up their friendliness for the season also. We stayed in a downstairs room that was extremely hard to sleep in due to the excessively loud fan and then the window blinds that let in light. Terrible pillows in the room and the bathroom is so tiny. Value for money in the off season but I would be unimpressed paying anything more to stay here. Location to the beach is great.

Amazing Stay!
The Islander Hotel is a great place to stay! Bailey at the front desk was especially helpful. The beds were comfortable and it was a very short walk to the beach ⛱️. The room was clean and spacious.
