Hi Lee.We refute all these claims and are really confused with your review.Your wife was in tears on Friday as you said your grand daughter had been taken seriously ill and been rushed to hospital.Furthermore I stated that because of the situation and because you had reiterated time and time again how lovely our pub was including the room & food, I decided as a good-will gesture, I would honour a further 2 night stay-over in the near future, all I stated for you to do was to give us a call, so we could re-arrange dates.I personally checked yourself into the room which has a Cathedral view and both you and your wife stated how wonderful the room was.After checking into the room, you then came down stairs several times for drinks then eventually food which you stated was beautiful.After playing deal or no deal with our regulars, you then both went upstairs for what you called a nanna nap, but would be back down later on for a night cap.1 hour later you came back down stairs very emotionally, and stated that your grand-daughter had been rushed to hospital.The guest in question that you thought was following you was in the room right next door to you, and he was a Durham uni student staying for 3 nights, so I can ensure you this gentleman in question was merely just going to his room which was allocated next door to your room.Best wishes, Pub Landlord
