    Macau Hotel Guide

Located on the western bank of the Pearl River Delta in the Chinese province of Guangdong, Macau is a beautiful place where east meets west. During the 1550s, the region that is today known as Macau was a major entry point for trade between China, Japan, Europe, and India. As trade between Europe and China grew, Macau became a popular recreational spot for European traders. Today, it's easy to book a cheap Macau hotel deal.

Today, Macau is a Special Administrative Region of the Peoples' Republic of China much like Hong Kong. Although still tiny, this region is growing in size and diversity. Perhaps the greatest of Macau's attractions for many visitors is the unique society, which mixes the ancient and the modern. Finding hotel deals that offer special discount rates will help make a fun and exciting trip even better.

    When to Visit

The best time to visit Macau is during the months from October to December. The temperature is pleasantly moderate and comfortable during this period. The months from March to May are also good times to visit. Because Macau is not too cold nor too hot during the spring, this is a great time for those who are into outdoor activities to find Macau hotel deals and Macau hotel packages.

Of course, this breathtaking area is a good place to visit any time, and cheap hotel deals in Macau can be found throughout the year. You will immediately want to make reservations on Expedia at your chosen hotels in Macau to ensure you get the most favorable deal.

    What to Do

Considered by many to be the best attraction in Macau, the Ruins of St. Paul is a must see. St. Paul was destroyed by fire in 1835, and today, the ruins consist of the facade of the cathedral and St. Paul's college.

A-Ma Temple is an area steeped in the religious folklore of Macau, and Macau's name is derived from A-Ma-Gau, or Place of A-Ma. According to lore, a poor girl who was denied passage to Canton by the rich, but helped by the poor, arrived here and ascended to godhood. The fishermen who lived here built her a great temple.

If you like to gamble, then you simply must visit Venetian Macau. This casino is the world's largest and includes top-notch shopping, classy accommodations with great prices on rooms, and an authentic Venetian gondola. The Venetian is one of the top Macau hotels.

Shuttle bus from the hotel to the Macau Ferry terminal where you can get shuttle buses to other casinos such as the Venetian and Galaxy . "Great Hotel and Staff"
We enjoyed very much our stay, the staff made us very welcome and very comfortable, Mark is one staff that was outstanding who help us enjoy Macau and made our stay really very comfortable and satisfactory, he was very informative and give us details on how we can go around and see places. The reception on duty and the manager Mr. Miller? made sure that our room were really comfortable for the 3 of us and upgraded us to a bigger room, very comfortable and clean and all staff even housekeeping greeted you with a smile and made sure all our needs are met. We felt safe in the area even walking around at night. Casino in the premises is small but adequate, others around also small but mostly table games. Breakfast a bit expensive but convenient and has a enough varieties, before you start your day.

    "Nice and friendly hotel"
The staff is extremely friendly. The casino is there, but not "in your face" like Vegas. The staff at Cascades is great and learns what you like after 1 or 2 visits. The buffet is good food and pretty diverse. The pool area is beautiful. Very near Old Taipa The lobby has a beautiful fountain display/show

The hotel also provide shuttle service to various important above location and customs. The only cons is the room wifi service is chargeable, so all of the guest got to sit at the lobby for free wifi service.

    "Best kept secret in Macau!"
The hotel is the antithesis of Macau, which is known for gambling and vice, and whose hotels are posh, modern and fancy. Regent is a laid back resort with a large garden and outdoor space. The rooms are large. The whole setting reminds me of a traditional European club in a Southeast Asian colony.
