The beds were very comfy and the room was nice and big. The manager who checked us in was very friendly and courteous and when we had trouble working the TV he came immediately to help us and solved the problem.

Stay here one night. The room is nice and clean, seems newly renovated. It’s about 2-3 miles outside of the ferry terminal; but I like the quiet of the location. We check in late and the front desk gladly referred us to a local restaurant to get our dinner.

Ok.
Typical family run motel with all the usual expectations, like very noisy A/C. Run down items. Indifferent staff. However it was clean, safe, and quiet and you can tell it is run by new owners trying to bring it upmarket. It was reasonably priced when I booked. Note that there is no breakfast (at least in September), and no coffee in the room. Office closed in the mornings. If you like your coffee in the morning you will have to make a Timmies run which is about a 5 minute drive.

Thank you for your time to give us feedback. We are in the process of upgrading the AC units. Our focus is on clean, quiet, safe, and affordable for travellers to rest, recharge for the next day on their journey of discovery or ferry ride. We do have in-house continental breakfast from June to the end of August free of charge. We do have Colombian Chicory coffee and ice at the front desk. We do have coffee machine if guest request for it.

You won’t regret staying here
Great place to stay; clean, big rooms, good continental breakfast, owners very friendly and accommodating. Ignore early reviews, because this place has been newly renovated and under new management. Price is right. A few kilometres from downtown, but there are nearby restaurants. (Check out the Honey Bee restaurant within walking distance that serves good sushi and Korean food)!

We had an excellent stay . The room was very clean the staff was very friendly and efficient. It was all good. The only thing that would have made it better was a coffee maker in the room.

The owners were great. TV was not working and they fixed it immediately. Did appreciate the ROKU all set up for easy watching. Comfortable beds and a strong shower were really nice. Biggest issue was that there is no designated smoking area so other guests stood near our door smoking and the smoke blew in. Appeared that it was used for companies to house workers. Mid-week it was quiet. As the weekend approached, it got noisier at night. People from other rooms would take the outdoor chairs and move them together so they could talk (and smoke) until very late.

Warm hospitality, super clean accommodations
Convenient location just 7min north of Yarmouth Ferry. Spent 1 night before heading to biosphere reserve. Spacious room with full couch, comfortable queen bed, flat screen, fridge, microwave. Upgraded new bath/shower. Linens and towels were new. Slept very well, minimal outside or adjoining room noise. Owners are friendly and responded to email communications quickly. Highly recommended.

A nice privately owned inn near the ferry
While this motel may seem fairly basic, it is obvious the owners take pride in their property. The room was spotless and comfortable. The owners were very gracious and made us feel welcomed. Their breakfast area was very clean and inviting with a good selection of items nicely laid out. The housekeeping attendant was quite willing to help out with extra towels. We stayed here due to its proximity to the ferry to Maine, but we also found it convenient to the various places we chose to explore during out brief stay in the Yarmouth area.

WiFi and TV Won’t Work
Bed was clean and comfortable. WiFi and TV (not cable - Roku) kept shutting off. Told owner that tv wouldn’t stay on and he came and checked it and said our WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough for tv and he would check it again when we checked out in the morning and put in a new access if it still wasn’t working. That was obviously of no use to us with no tv or WiFi for the evening. Shower pressure was terrible. Lots of spiders and spiderwebs in bathroom. Funky smell in the room but I think it’s the cleaner they use - not pleasant though.

Sorry about the WIFI signal , the new access point implemented right after you checked out. It was a full house on that car show day, therefore, shower pressure is not normal. The funky smell is from the previous guest, even after we treated with ozone and air purifier.

Staff were great, very friendly. Loved the new countertops and floor in the bathroom. There is a sidewalk that provides a waterfront walk which goes to a restaurant about a block away and grocery store approx 2 blocks away. Location is minutes from the Cat Ferry. Breakfast was okay.

What a dump. Not at all like presented in the listing. Was just looking for a quick place for my wife and I to stay for the night - we were catching the The CAT ferry the next morning. Really surprised to find no A/C in the room (is this 1948?). Site manager said she "could have one put in right away" ???? A group of people were sitting outside their non-A/C rooms drinking and talking. And the area it's located in is really sketchy. I wouldn't stay there - and didn't.

This is an older motel that has been nicely upgraded. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the front counter staff were very friendly and helpful.

A find, in my view! Recently updated effectively, and tastefully. Traveling with a senior relative, very assuring they found comfort. Comfortable beds, amenities as required. ROKU in the TV package a nice feature. Parking very close to the room’s. For visitors to the Villa Du Lac, excellent. Nice folks, wish them every successful.
