Perfect Hotel for Appalachian Trail Hikers I found the Super 8 to be the ideal spot for section and thru hikers of the Appalachian Trail. This hotel is conveniently close to the trail, making it a perfect base for adventurers. Additionally, the availability of washers and dryers was incredibly convenient for refreshing our clothes after long days on the trail. Don’t let the lack of cars in the parking lot fool you; many of the guests, like us, arrived on foot, straight from the trail. The staff was friendly and accommodating, understanding the unique needs of hikers. If you’re looking for a comfortable, hiker-friendly place to stay, this hotel is a fantastic choice!

Rundown, old, unfriendly check-in. They don’t seem to run the a/c in the lobby or hallways during the day so it was very hot. I asked gurl at front desk they had laundry and she said “yes”, after a long pause I then asked “where” and all she said was “second floor” (must not be paid by the word). I went up there and the dryer was out of order. I went back down and I asked about it she said “yeah it’s broken, they’re coming out sometime to fix it but I don’t know when.” (Seems like something she could have mentioned when I asked about laundry.) I then asked if she knew of any laundromats nearby and all she said was “no”. So helpful and courteous. Room was pretty standard but sheets were stained and absolutely no usb plugs for charging. Updates needed. Pool has no water and breakfast was a joke (just bars and coffee, nothing fresh nor hot). No reason they should be charging anywhere near this much a night.

I am an experienced global traveler and not adverse to marginal conditions. Upon entering the wing I was staying in I found a family sitting in the hallway with possessions stacked outside. No one from staff was helping. The hallway had the smell of cat urine. I was tired and decided to stay. The room was musty and moldy. I am not allergic but my nose and throat were affected. Carpet, throws, towels needed replacing years ago. Not much sleep that night. It appears this place is about to be demolished and the management is squeezing the last dollar out of the property. Worse than any third world room I have ever stayed in!! Got up at 4 to get the hell out of there.

Nightmare from the beginning. When told the decaf coffee was ice cold in coffee urn the response was that she didn’t make it and never offered to make anymore not to mention there was nothing to eat there except a tub of yogurt ! This place was in such terrible condition that we w oh u lane shower just wanted to led e. The front desk staff not at all pleasant. Do not stay here

Stayed for one night with my family. Seems dirty and old. Couldn't take a bath. Closed doors everywhere. No elevator. One night is enough. Too expensive for ehat tou get. Breakfast was the cheapest i've seen in my life.....
