“Perfect stay at Native Abode - highly recommend”
We stayed a total of 10 nights at Native Abode and could not have wished for a better welcome and stay in Tobago. Big thanks to Kaye for being the perfect host, and providing a wonderful accommodation that was both personal and professional - loved it, and will definitely be going back to stay there again *thanks*.
“Friendly natives”
Kay was extremely welcoming on arrival after Steve had met us at the airport and brought us to Native Abode. The rooms were excellent and beautifully decorated. The aircon was a must for us northerners! Beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of additional bedding and pillows if needed. The little kitchenette was a useful addition for keeping the rum and coke cool! The bathroom was a little cramped and stepping up to the loo felt like sitting on a throne! The mothballs were also a little overpowering. Breakfast was lovely; a good selection of freshly prepared West Indian dishes, wonderful local fruit and traditional English fare appealed to all tastes. Overall this was a good base for beaches, restaurants and exploring the island. It was well maintained and on looking out you could have been located in the rainforest with lush trees and the bird and insect noises you'd expect in a tropical paradise.
“Clean & Cozy”
Very well maintained facility, very, very, very clean. Cozy and comfortable, we had breakfast waiting for us each morning. Best to rent a car to see the whole Island. Close to airport and the best beach, Pigeon Point.
“A Great Choice”
My wife and I we spent two days this last week in Tobago. The choice of the Native had been made over the Internet (which always leaves you a little apprehensive). As we approached the inn, through their neighborhood, we are still a little tense wondering what we would find. When we arrived we had a pleasant and rewarding surprise: -- We had made an excellent choice with an excellent cost-benefit. The Inn is super cozy, everything is extremely clean and organized with all the technological resources (Internet, TV, phone, etc.) you may need. Everything there has been painstakingly thought out and planned to receive you well. It is a great choice. Let's go back several times and recommending it to our friends. Gláucio and Fernanda
“Rod from Devon”
This Bed and Breakfast Guest House is very well equipped and maintained. It is a residential area, away from other hotels or guest houses. It is 20-30 minutes walk to a range of restaurants and bars, and similar time to the beaches. By car just a few minutes. The quality of the rooms is well above much more expensive hotels. But there are no hotel facilities such as bars, pools or restaurants. Wi-Fi is free and good.
“The Native Abode-The BEST!”
My husband and I have stayed in many hotels and resorts in the Bahamas, Jamaica and PR but the Native Abode blows them all out of the water. On the ride there you will think to yourself, "where are we going, this doesn't look as though it's going to be a nice place". However, when you see it, inside and outside, it's the cosiest place you'll ever stay and the staff, all family members, are the absolute best. My husband and I are planning to go again and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. We had friends that came to Tobago and stayed at a resort nearby and I would brag about our breakfast spread every day. Go and see Steen and his family at the Native Abode in Tobago. I promise you won't be sorry!
