We loved this lodging, and I already want to come back. Our room was tiny, which we didn’t like, but the property was spacious and beautiful. My favorite thing, maybe was the billiard room, which had a couple of comfy, easy chairs and a light for relaxing reading, especially when it was raining this was a excellent cozy retreat in the rain. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was super clean and charming. You could step out the door into shopping and restaurants but once you got back inside, it felt like an oasis. It was one of the more expensive options in town, but worth it. Now, the downside. They are doing construction on a giant building next-door and there was hammering all day long. Not pleasant. We had to play music in our room to drive it out. I hopefully it won’t last too long. there is a church next-door and the church bells play until midnight. I found this charming, but it might bother some people. No one on the staff speaks English. Except maybe the guy who checked us in? I can’t remember. Anyway, he was not around on the weekend. so if you don’t speak Spanish, just be aware of this. You will still find a way to get your needs met. We found this true in all of El Salvador, and if the country truly wants to invite foreign tourists, they need to have their staff learn English because it’s the international language. I speak enough Spanish, but my friend is not, and she felt rather lost. We loved El Salvador and this hotel.
