The staff was very friendly. The rooms were comfortable but the tub was very slippery. Wish there had been a mat. There is an adorable back garden with tons of plants, tables and chairs, fish,caged birds and rabbits. Great place have a drink and a snack.

Lovely location opposite Messe station, very welcoming staff, rooms basic, but comfy and clean. Nice garden for chilling after a busy day.

Staying overnight at Skada City hotel. Small, old hotel, clean and in front of the train station easy access to S-Bahn, U-bahn to the city in Cologne. It was a cozy stay; upon checked-in, I noticed there was a cracking line in the bathroom sink, because the hotel was old, I did not report it. I thought it was normal. The hotel sent me an email two hours after I checked out, informing me that I damaged the sink and charged to my credit card of 250 Euros as a compensation. I informed the hotel back immediately that I did not damage anything, but no response from the hotel. Hotel.com could not do anything but saying the Skada city hotel was the billing party and out of their hands. What a surprise, I was very upset for the damage I did not even do. Very horrible experience and emotional stress. I decided to write this review so that whoever is searching will have some ideas and not having the same horrible experience at this hotel.

Great Location
The hotel from checking in to out was really good staff were lovely, ideal for Lanxess Area also train station you can walk across the bridge to the Dom and other places to visit, the breakfast is plentiful very good variety would recommend to stay here.

Comfortable and clean, close to Messe/Deutz
Less than 5min walk from Messe/Deutz station, we arrived right in the middle of the Karneval celebrations and the hotel bar was completely decked out and absolutely pumping with the celebrations party! The free welcome drink was also appreciated, but what was even better was from our room on the first floor we could barely hear the raucous noise from the party in the bar. Central Cologne either a short train ride away or a walk across the stunning Cologne bridge. Room was very spacious and well appointed.

Great hotel near Deutz ststion
A really confortable privately ran hotel just 50 or so metres from Deutz station. Super staff. Good room. Free drink on arrival.

Opera night in Koeln
I went there for just one day to see Nozze di Figaro opera. While the local opera house was very modest to say the least (although singing was good) the hotel was great.

I stayed there since almost all other hotels in town were booked due to conference. The service was good and staff very attentive but other than that i cannot say anything good about the hotel. It's very shabby, and everything is old and the quality is very poor. It's even difficult to say if the room was clean as everything is so worn out. But I saw how they cleaned the hallway and the reception therefore rated it as clean. If you look for a cheap stay - maybe will be good enough for you.

Great family feel
Very nice and welcoming. Not far from the main parts of cologne. Great family atmosphere. Noise from the hotel echoes in the rooms, but you can forgive this due to it being an old building.

Clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel.
A comfortable hotel with all the basics for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Convenient location across the street from the Messe/Deutz train station and a short walk to several shops. The rooms are a bit small and do not have a dresser or closet.

Historic hotel near city centre.
Pros: Easy check in/out. Beautiful rooms. Great price. Only 15 minute walk from Dom and the railway station. Cons: The windows don't let in much air. As I was there in July the room was VERY warm. Providing an electric fan would be nice. Also the wifi is €2 an hour and breakfast €8 a day per person.

We were in Cologne for a concert at Lanxess Arena, and the location of this hotel was perfect for walking to the arena. Comfortable room, parking garage nearby, accommodating staff.

Delightful hotel in a delightful city!
The hotel is a delightful little gem! It is across the street from one of the station in Cologne with direct trains to the Dusseldorf airport, and walking distance to Downtown Cologne. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very quiet. The only minus is: the bed was very hard.

Close to the convention center and sub-way station
FILTECH 2015 Conference and Exhibition was held at Cologne Convention Center. This hotel is located right across the road. It is quite convenient to walk to the convention center. .

Old hotel but good location for expo
Stay from 13th Nov to 16th Nov for a expo. Hotel is very near to Koln Messe Station (good). need to walk about 10-15mins to the Koln Messe. some great resturant just below the hotel. Hotel is very old build like in the 1906 abit eerie . i cant get the lift to work, thus have to carry my luggage up and down. didnt try the breakfast (8euro) because i can settle my meal for 3-5euro just at the train station. Hotel was location infront of a main road and train rail, thus very noise.

3 nights at the Skada Colln
My room had two single beds. The TV was tiny and old but it had cable with a number of channels in English (I barely watched TV). It was quiet and pleasant but far from luxurious. Bathroom was really small. Fairly typical of older European hotels. This one was built about 100 years ago. Nice staff, spoke English. Good value for the money. Breakfast was good too but not included in my room rate. Location across the Messe Deutz train station is perfect. Number of restaurants nearby or you can walk across the Rhein and be at the cathedral in about 15 minutes.

Nice staff, shame about the room.
The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly (and we got a coupon for a free drink in the bar which we made use of on our last day!) but it was let down by a bad smell in the shower room (of mildew) and the decor. If the shower room had been in better condition, I wouldn't have minded so much about the plainness of the room, it's just that I felt we were paying slightly more than the room was worth when it was so small and, well, boring. Oh, also be aware the owners have dogs!

Das Hotel scheint in die Jahre gekommen zu sein, wirkt sehr duster und die Zimmer sind echt altmodisch und das Badezimmer mit dem Duschvorhang echt eine Zumutung. Es roch im Zimmer nach Chlor.

ケルン全体を見れば
ケルン大聖堂を見るならば、ライン川対岸から通い。 そこにはケルントライアングルがある。 さらにICEはケルンメッセ駅に到着する。 それならば、メッセ駅側にあるホテルに泊まればよいと思う。 でも、ひる◇◇は高価。 そう考えれば、最高なホテルといえる。

フロントで3匹の可愛い犬とおじさんが「グーテンダーク！」と迎えてくれました。駅前にある小さなホテルです。 お部屋は床張りで裸足でも大丈夫なくらいでタンスがあったり自宅のお部屋みたいな感じでくつろげました。暖かみのかある洗面所はドライヤーもありシャワーも水圧充分と思います。 よくなかった点を挙げるとすれば、私の部屋がたまたまなんでしょうけどドアの閉まりが悪く完全に閉めるには少し力が要りました。個人的にはそのくらいです。 付近には有名なドイツ料理のお店などありますがお店自体は少なく飲み物などは駅で調達出来ます。 チェックイン時ケルシュビールが飲めるウェルカムドリンク券を頂きましたがホテルに戻ったのが22時を回っていたためバーは既に地元のお客さんで賑わっており入りづらく断念しました。残念！ サッカーを観に行く為一泊しましたがスタジアムのあるレバークーゼンまでもすぐですし次の機会もまた利用したいです

gute Lage
Das Hotel ist mit Liebe und Schnickschnack eingerichtet. Zimmer war sauber, Badezimmer doch schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber auch absolut sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig, für 10.50 € jedoch recht teuer. Würde das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Kolonia-Deutz warto tu zanocować
Bardzo dobre położenie blisko do katedry i do bulwarów nadreńskich. Okolica dużo niedrogich knajpek. Miła obsługa. Pokoje hotelowe wymagają jednak odświeżenia.

Älteres kleines Stadthotel, das sehr zentral in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Bahnhof und zur Arena liegt. Direkt in der Nähe gute Möglichkeit zum Essen und trinken.

Nettes Hotel in bester Lage und mit super Service
Ich wurde im Hotel sehr herzlich empfangen. Das ganze Personal war sehr nett. Das Hotel bietet alles was man braucht, obwohl der 50-er Jahre Charme schon recht gewöhnungsbedürftig ist. Es war aber alles tip top sauber. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt. Ich würde in Verbindung mit einem Event jederzeit wieder das Hotel buchen, da die Lage wirklich super ist.

Zentrale Lage Lanxess-Arena
Das urige Hotel besticht durch seine zentrale Lage in Deutz. Die Lanxess-Arena ist innerhalb weniger Minuten fussläufig erreichbar, diverse Restaurants befinden sich rundum. Ebenfalls fussläufig erreichbar: Deutzer Bahnhof. Zur Kölner Altstadt/Dom sind es max. 15 Minuten (einmal über die Deutzer Brücke). Für einen Kurzaufenthalt sehr zu empfehlen.

Hotelli oli todella suloinen, mutta huoneissa ei ollut äänieristystä, kuuli hyvin miten naapuri vihelteli illalla. Huoneeni suihkutila oli homeessa. Hometta ihan kasvoi suihkun seinämillä ja hajukin oli läsnä. Joten tästä pitkä terveyspuolen miinus. Jos he hoitaisivat tällaset perusasiat kuntoon, hotelli olisi todella vihtyisä!

Kleines helles sauberes Zimmer, das Bad war nicht ganz so schön, sollte mal renoviert werden, die kaputten Fliesen wirken nicht sehr einladend. Es war sehr ruhig und ich habe sehr gut geschlafen, nachdem ich endlich im Hotel drin war da der "Schlüssel" mitten in der Nacht nicht funktioniert hat....

Leider ist an der Wand zum Bad extrem viel Schimmel, durch einen Wasserschaden. Das nicht nur eine enorme Gesundheitliche Belastung ist, sondern auch eine extreme Geruchsbelästigung. Leider war im Nachbarzimmer von 2 Uhr bis 6 Uhr ein Familienstreit der uns um den Schlaf brachte. (hier kann natürlich das Hotel nichts dafür)

Bed erg zacht voor mij en badkamer rook wat muffig maar goede douche verder. Vriendelijk personeel, knus hotel, dagkaart parkeren 12,-. Genoeg restaurants inde buurt. 15 minuten lopen van de Dom
