Hopper St Josef
The hotel was a great location away from the main city centre with good travel connections. There is an abundance of good eating places in the evening as the hotel had no restaurant for evening meals. The staff were always helpful as my knowledge of the German language was limited. Good local shops in the area as well. Only criticism was the curtain in the room did not fully close properly so did not block out the morning sunlight!

Incredibly modern, tucked inside historic building
We booked this hotel as a quick overnight stop en route from the Netherlands to Vienna, looking for just a simple place to crash for the night. What we found instead was a super modern hotel room, really well laid out, with huge operable windows overlooking a secluded courtyard in this former convent house. The "fitness center" is really just an elliptical machine and one other multi-purpose resistance machine, and the sauna looked like it had never been used. Neat library, nice bar, and a super short walk west to a shopping district with bakeries, restaurants, and coffee shops. Parking isn't available at the hotel, but we were able to park in an underground garage due east for €21.

Great place to stay in the Südstadt
Nicely designed hotel. Lots of little steps and stairs as it is a historic building. Clean, modern feel of the room as if in contrast to the historic substance. Small hotel with a small number of staff, so do not expect exceptional service. Staff could be a bit warmer/friendlier but was fine. Probably the best Hotel in the area - the only one that is in the middle of the Südstadt neighborhood. I was there for a private solo trip and found it a fitting choice.

My rating might have been higher, however the heat in the room (it was 36C outside and 28C) inside left me leaving the porch door open, but the noise from the adjacent kindergarten is making one crazy in the early morning.

Loved this place! Modern hotel in an old building - excellent service, clean and inviting rooms, lively area but quiet hotel. We only stayed one night but found it to be perfect for our needs.

Well situated hotel.
The rooms are decorated in a modern style with no bedside tables. Very inconvenient. Pillow are very soft feather ones you need about 3 to be comfortable. Breakfast is good.

Unfortunately throughout my three night stay my TV was not working. Staff notified on first day but nothing done to amend. However, 20 euros deducted from the bill for the inconvenience. Apart from that everything else was good.

Leider haben wir uns in dem Hotel nicht so Wohlgefühlt u.a. bedingt durch die Unsauberkeit des Zimmers. Ein weiteres Problem sind die Parkmöglichkeiten. In Köln wird es beim nächsten Mal definitiv ein anderes Hotel

Die Einrichtung ist super. ich bin die letzten Jahre immer wieder hier abgestiegen und werde es auch weiterhin tun. Nur die Parkplatzsituation ist schrecklich.

Leider war der Boden des Zimmers sehr dreckig. Der Schrank im Badezimmer und der aufklappbare Tisch waren kaputt und am 2. Tag haben unsere Steckdosen nicht mehr funktioniert. Man konnte dies an dem Abend auch nicht mehr beheben, was wirklich sehr ungünstig war.

Das Hotel war im Großen und Ganzen gut. Einzelzimmer recht klein. Sehr freundliche und hilfreiche junge Dame an der Rezeption. Design der Zimmer überzeugend. An einer Stelle bei der Verkleidung am Waschbecken Abnutzungserscheinungen. Coole Lichterführung in den Gängen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist nur einige Gehminuten vom Schokoladenmuseum entfernt und daher relativ zentral gelegen. Das Personal war stehts freundlich und das Zimmer sauber. Allerdings lag mein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss relativ nah zum Frühstücksraum, weshalb es morgens immer etwas lauter war. Die Dusche war ein bisschen sehr klein (selbst für eine kleine Person wie mich), was allerdings für ein Einzelzimmer zu erwarten war.

Bedankt voor je eerlijke feedback. De huidige temperaturen zijn eigenlijk alleen te verdragen op een strand. Ook in onze zolder hotelkamers kunnen wij airconditioning aanbieden. Alle andere kamers zijn uitgerust met ventilatoren, die een beetje kunnen helpen. Door het bijzondere en historische gebouw zijn alle kamers zeer individueel ontworpen. Gemütliche, tolle Lage mit Potential nach oben.
Insgesamt sehr süßes kleines Hotel mit zuvorkommendem Service am Check-In und toller Lage in einer kleinen ruhigen Straße mit vielen Lokalen in der Umgebung und kurzem Weg zum Rheinufer. Kleines aber sehr gemütlich 1-Bett-Zimmer im DG, sehr intelligent eingerichtet mit vielen integrierten Schränken und hier versteckten Extras (Bügelbrett, Minibar, TV, Telefon). Dennoch einige Kleinigkeiten, welche das insgesamt eigentlich sehr positive Bild leider trüben: - im Bad löst sich die Tapete ab, da nass durch spritzendes Duschwasser (Glasabtrennung der ebenerdigen Dusche hier zu kurz) - Einige Spinnweben und Spinnen an der Decke im Bad (bereits leblos und somit älter) - Schminkspiegel dürftig mit Panzertape geklebt - ein Handtuchhalter am Waschbecken (zum Beispiel rechts n der Wand) wäre hilfreich, da der eigentliche Halter (Handtuchheizung) sich im vom Waschbecken getrennten Bad befindet. Dennoch insgesamt klar zu empfehlen.

Schönes, charmantes Hotel mit eigenem Flair
Wir waren grds. sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel hat einen tollen Charme und die Zimmer sind schön, wenn auch nicht sehr groß. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. Einziges Manko beim Check - out: Die Rezeption war zeitweise nicht besetzt und wir mussten lange warten bzw. für Besetzung sorgen.
