Nice place starting to show signs of age

Posted 26-Jan-2015
I thought the place was a great family resort which was well priced with good facilities starting to show it's age but still comfortable. Nice staff and will be back

One to be missed

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: Proximity to beach
Cons: Total refurbish, new management and staff.
Location: Every single restaurant & pub were shut at 930pm on a Monday night. Nothing to eat in town.
The entrance lined with trees is impressive. Everything else is awful. Totally shut at 930pm on a Monday night. No food, unfriendly staff, no bar, no room service. The room smelled of nappies and had not been cleaned properly. The air conditioner kept switching off every 30 minutes.

Close to the beach

Posted 17-Jan-2015
Pros: The pool area was good. The grounds are really big and well maintained.
Cons: Needs major upgrading, beds really uncomfortable.
Location: Close to the beach.
Needs upgrading. Really uncomfortable beds. Staff do their job, but are not well informed of area and what to do. Breakfast is terrible and really expensive. The only reason i said I would recommend this hotel is because there are only two resorts in coffs harbour and they are about the same.

Affordable resort for a one night rest stop

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Pros: Plenty of parking and spacious comfortable rooms.
Cons: Nothing I noticed during my stay
Location: It's close to the Big Banana if you're into big fruit.
Arrived after 6 hours of driving and listening to the same movie being played 4 times, so a quick and easy check in was much appreciated. The room was simple and spacious for the four of us. The resort looks and feels family friendly with lots to do. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We ordered room service which arrived before the estimated waiting time and was delicious. I'd go back for longer next time I travel north again.

Kids loved the pool! But not a hotel for smokers!

Posted 13-Jan-2015
Expedia got description wrong. The hotel was a room with a sofa bed. It was listed as a 1 bedroom. Got there and no option to upgrade to a 2 bedroom cause they don't have any. So bunking with the kids and no privacy was the only choice. Staff were beyond this world nice. This is more than likely what made our stay great. Really went above and beyond to fix issues immediately or offer solutions. Food was really good but location of hotel was a bit far from Coffs main beach. You will need a car. Beware if your a smoker this is a non smoking hotel. Not even on the balcony. I think ther was 2 designated spots for smokers that were a walk to get to. That was disappointing.

Quiet rooms, too bad about the air-con

Posted 13-Jan-2015
Pros: Handy to the beach and easy comfortable pool area. separate room areas allowed for quiet stay.
Cons: Food quality for breakfast could be easily improved by selecting riper fruits and higher quality manufactured foods.
The hotel rooms were quiet and sufficiently separate from each other to keep general noise at a minimum. the nights were hot and the stay would have been improved with a better functioning air cooling unit. The breakfast food seems to have been catered for on the cheap with fruit and hot foods down on taste and predictability.Staff were responsive and helpful and the place was clean and tidy.

Hotel little tired, but fine for family stay

Posted 12-Jan-2015
Cons: Time travel back to the '80's - so looks like something we stayed in as kids - as opposed to something I thought I woudl take my kids to!
Hotel is a little tired, but fine for family overnight stay, lots of other kids and the staff were friendly. Would not want to be there if I did not have kids though.

Bed comfort

Posted 11-Jan-2015
A very old hotel in need of some money spent. Especially on the beds as they were very uncomfortable Was expecting more for the room rate charged Will not be staying there again
