The property was set in the country and had a nice outward appearance. The staff did contact us a couple of times for our estimated arrival time and we told her both times the same thing. When we arrived there had been torrential rains and we were frozen. The room was cold and the woman at reception told us that the room would have heat but she wasn’t exactly sure when. There was a small electric heater we could control but the hot water radiators were out of our control. We closed the windows and went to dinner to wait for the heat. When we came back it had begun to warm up.
The room was large. The rug and couch were stained and worn. The bed and pillows were hard and lumpy. The sheets were not very good quality. There was a kettle, tea, and coffee. The room smelled a bit of hay and reminded me a bit of a barn. Since we couldn’t control the heat the room got stifling hot, then chilly again in the early morning hours and then stifling again. I cannot recommend this property for a hotel stay.
