Pretty solid for the price. Walls are thin so the environment isn't the most quiet but I didn't find it a large problem. Pretty clean as well.

The tub wouldn't drain after taking a shower. Water was still in it the next morning. The breakfast was the skimpiest I think I have ever seen in a hotel before. Almost nothing there. Coffee was lukewarm.

Room was clean, beds comfortable. Location was great and very affordable. Lobby does smell like cigarette smoke, it may be because employees/guest smoke right outside doors. Staff were friendly, easy check in.

Small place, stayed two nights. Rooms are small. The breakfast is not good. It is worth paying 100 a night. We paid over 200 a night for our stay. Not worth it for the price.

The staff was friendly. The pet fee was only $15 for my dog - so that was a big plus. However there is no elevator and we had to drag our luggage to the 2nd floor. This hotel smelled like smoke in the lobby and hallways and had a weird smell in the room. I would call the condition less than average. It could use some updating.

Guest rooms smell like smoke
It's a basic hotel which is usually more than satisfactory for a quick stay when we're on a short trip to a new place. However, we stayed in a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke. The breakfast consisted entirely of pre-packaged honey buns and instant oatmeal.

Terrible stay
This was such a bad hotel we checked in and checked right out, it was dirty, filled with bugs and moldy. If AIDS and cancer had a baby it would be this hotel, biggest hotel disaster ever. Never stay here and hotels.com should remove it as a possibility

Super 8 fit my desire for a safe and convenient place to stay near Virginia Tech. Staff were friendly and kind and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to a number of restaurants, stores, and the university, and it was the best price of the hotels I searched. Breakfast is quite sparse, and the amenities and general "feel" are fairly no-frills, but it fit the bill for my purposes, and I had a very nice experience.

Overall, this property is very nice! It was convenient to my primary purpose for being in C'burg: the State Age-Group Swimming Championships. There is a nice assortment of shopping and dining nearby, but driving is almost mandatory. My one complaint: the mattress in my room was worn-out, with spring-tops painfully evident.

Dirty..the bathroom was NASTY. Everything dusty and the smell of cigarettes everywhere even in the room where it should be smoke free. The fridge had mold. Never again.

The first two rooms had an odor that was totally unacceptable. I insisted that my payment be returned. The manager was very nice and kept looking until he found a room on the second floor without any odor. Was not impressed with the facilty.
